So today I was told that at some point my family dropped -owitz from our name and it is in fact originally Kraftowitz, of Hebrew heritage. No one has any kind of proof other then what they've been told through generations so I'm hoping to find something online. My biggest barrier is that my father is the oldest living Kraft and has no information beyond his grandfather's generation. It will be tough I'm sure but could turn into quite the adventure.

If anyone else has ever heard of their Kraft name being trimmed from Kraftowitz please forward any information.
