As far as I know, I do not have relatives in Campbell Co., KY, as far as the Kremers go. Another branch of my tree were in Campbell Co., KY and thought maybe some of my Kremers were there also. But, now I do not think the Campbell Co., KY Kremers are mine. Thanks for your reply.

Millie

Meg:
I don't believe we have a connection. The names of Anton and Rosalia do not sound familiar at all. My Kremers came tot he US in abt. 1847 and settled in Ripley Co., IN and from there came to Louisville, KY, lived and died here. But, if I do come across those names in my research, I will let you know. Thanks for your reply.

Millie

Roger:
I really don't believe we are the same Kremer/Kramers. I have found no mention of Illinois in any of my research. My Kremers came to Louisville, KY. about 1880 from Ripley Co., IN. They stayed in Louisville, lived and died here. If I do find any mention of Illinois, I will post it and maybe then find a connection. Good luck with your research.

DipsyLYBBI
Just found your query from back in February 2009. My computer crashed about that time and it took awhile to get it back again. Anyway, I am really interested in which Kremer you are connected to? Contact me at dorojosy@aol.com. Very interested in talking with you. I have met another Kremer who lives just a few blocks from me and cannot imagine who you are connected to. Waiting for a reply.

Millie Jenkins

Thanks Jamie for the quick reply! This has been a "brick wall" family for me for years now. I have a lot of information on this line (yet I don't!) I tried to get your email on the site here, but it wouldn't let me without subscribing to Ancestry.com I subscribed years ago and no longer do as I haven't had time to research much. Anyways, I will give you my email here for you to contact me. Here is the first part bsfletch@ and I can send the Descendants of Ezra Kramer information that I have to you. Here is the second part of my email speednet.com
I believe Ezra Kramer is the son of Balthazer and Elizabeth Engels/Ingles. He was the first soldier to die at Fort Smith, Arkansas. This is purely conjecture, though. I have a lot of clues on certain things but nothing concrete! Anyways, hope to hear from you soon. Thank you for checking on the obit for me though. Nancy
P.S. There is another Philarius Kramer that married a Emma Davis. This is NOT this line. Another researcher, Thomas Santamaria is researching this line and we've "crossed paths" because of the identical names, but they are 2 different men!

I can't find an actual obituary on him, just a death notice - all is says is that PE Kramer, age 82, of Kingmont, died.

If you have anything, I'd like more information on his connection to Greensboro, PA. I have rather extensive information on the Greensboro Kramers, but no record of an Ezra. If you have any information on Ezra's parents, I may be able to help you fill in more.

Would like information contained in the obituary of P.E. Kramer, born about February 1846 and died July 15, 1928. He had been residing with his son John Kramer. I have very sketchy information on him. P.E.'s parents were Ezra and Nancy (Unknown maiden) Kramer of Greensboro, Pennsylvania. P.E.'s first name can be any of the following also: Pharlance-Philarius-Phlarus-Pelaris-Phfalarus-P. Emry-Phalauras. He was first married to a Emma (Unknown maiden but possibly Davis). Second marriage to Nettie Ann Davis 9/10/1887 in Fayette County, Pa. Thank you for your time
Nancy
My great-grandmother was Harmanna Kramer married to Aries Schreuder. They were married about 1888 in Groningen, the Netherlands. They moved to Chicago (southside) shortly thereafter. Harmanna had a sister named Lutgredina.

The reason I think there might be a connection is that Harmanna and Aries had two sons named Herman and Henry, along with two daughters Geesje (Grace) and Jantje (Jenny).

Barbara McDonald

Do you think there might be a connection to your Kramers?

I recently took a mitochondrial DNA test which would have the same results as the Kramer sisters since I am a maternal descendant. It is very unusual and I have not found any matches to it yet.

Barbara McDonald

Barbara McDonald

I am going through old pictures from my grandparents, Irvin and Grace Hurley King. This picture of Virgil Kramer, taken in Lafayette, IN, does not appear to be connected to my family. Irvin's father, Henry Heaton King retired to Lafayette, IN, after serving as the superindendent of Frankton Schools and died in the Knight's of Pythias Home there in 1859. If someone would like it, let me know and I will mail it.

Joyce Higginbotham

Hello, My name is Wanda and For many years I have been looking for a Man named Wayne Kramer. My mother has told me the story of when she was a little girl and used to play with her cousin Wayne until one day some one took him away and that left her a sad little girl.
Come to find out that the little boy had been taken from his parents and adopted out maybe to other family members who lived far away. She has been trying to get any information but there is no one from that generation left here in Northern Wi.
My mothers cousin would be around her age, 63, give or take a couple years. Your name just caught my eye since that boy's name was Wayne Kramer and his fathers first name was Francis. Thank you for your time. Wanda
Looking for date and place of death of my grandfather. He and grandmother lived and worked in Denver, CO in a hospital there in 1920. He died a few months before my mother was born and we have never found where he died or is buried. He was born in Boston. My grandmother, Madelaine, never disclosed that information to my mother. It has always remained a mystery to us and we would like to have some closure and perhaps locate some relatives if possible.
Hi--

I was given a family history compiled by my grandpa, George N. Kramer, originally of Kansas, married to Justina Kramer June of 1922, later a professor at Loyola University in Los Angeles. With the blessings of the family I have posted it online under a creative commons license at http://timkramer.com in the hopes that it might prove useful to people researching their family history.

My contact information is available on the page above, as well as higher quality pdf and word format versions of the text. I hope this is useful to someone!

Kramer - Adolph, George and Reuben ... Illinois/Indiana

I'm searching for any information on the above Kramers. Back in 1918 Adolph Kramer (father) was living in Illinois and Reuben and his wife Lillian Groat-Kramer and their son Von would go visit them at the Lake in Illinois. Lillian died in 1918 -- ruled a suicide. Lillian and Reuben lived in Hammond, Indiana. George was Ruben's brother. I have no idea what happened to Reuben after Lillian was buried. He had custody of Von who died when he was in his early 60s. Von did not have contact with the Groat side of the family until he was an adult. Would love to put together this part of the family line.

Jacob Kramer (Floyd's Brother) was my Great Grandfather. I named my son after him. Jacob's wife's name was Molly. They live here in Wilkes-Barre PA and raised three children. Albert (my grandfather) Gladys (still living in Hawaii) and Robert (Bobby) My grandfather Al had two children Karen and Richard (my Dad). Gladys has two daughters Phylis and Rochel, one of them lives in Colorodo I think. And Bobby had three children Reid, Alan and Julie.

I am not so sure about Floyd but I can tell you about Jacob and his line of the family. Jacob and Molly are buried here in Wilkes-Barre. I can get you pictures of their graves if you wish. I also have a photo of my uncle Bobby's grave in Florida. I might have a photo of my grandfather Al's grave in Florida as well.

My Dad has spoken with your relative Jenny from Colorado and I met her once when she came to PA to visit.

Becky

PHOTOS: Kramer of St. Louis, Chicago, and New York

I recently bought a collection of family photos and papers connecting to the Klayman and Kramer families. The family is Jewish. There also are connections and photos to the Louis/Bessie Horwitz family of Chicago.

Rose Kramer Klayman was the daughter of Bertha Kramer who lived at 1129 South Hermitage in Chicago, IL when Rose married Aaron Klayman. I have a copy of their wedding invitation from 1919.

There is also a copy of the wedding invitation of Rose's brother Irving Fischel Kramer to Mildred Horwitz of Chicago, IL. At that time, Irving's mother is listed as Bella Kramer. The wedding was 25 Aug 1929.

There are also connections to the New York Kramer family.
Some of the photos were taken in Israel during a 1970 visit.

I believe a family member or family researcher would value these photos and papers. Please contact me if you have an interest in them.

Kathy@FamilyWeSearch.com
Hi Becky,

Here's what I have; you may already know this because it's from the U.S. censuses. Reuben and Rachel were both from "Russia" and came to the U.S. about 1889 or 1890. They were born about 1864 and 1868 and were married in about 1888. They had four children: Esther, born about 1890 in New Jersey; Anna, born about 1893 in New York; Jacob, born about 1896 in Pennsylvania; and Floyd, born 23 Dec 1906 in East Stroudsburg, Monroe County, Pennsylvania. In 1920, Reuben, Rachel, Anna and Floyd were living in Passaic, New Jersey. By 1930 only Rachel, Anna and Floyd are mentioned in the census. Anna is listed as being a teacher. In 1938, Floyd married Genevieve Stein (who is my relative). Floyd and Genevieve, and her parents, moved to Colorado at some point. Floyd died in 1979, and the last I heard (about 2 months ago) Genevieve was still living in Colorado.

When I started researching this family, I was mainly interested in Floyd, since he married into my family. I haven't done much research into his parents or siblings yet. If this is your family, I would love to see what you know about them, and I have a few more details I can share about Floyd, too.

Amy

Looking for Catherine Schobel Kramer. I believe her husband is Samuel. I know Catherine came from Hungry in the early 1900's to Sharon, PA and she had two brothers there John and Andrew "Andy" Schobel. Catherine married a Kramer but I have never been able to find her. She is my great grandfathers sister. She is listed in his obituary.

Would census reports help? I see Charles in 1900 and 1920.

Have you tried to find listings of Denver cemeteries? Here are some, although I don't know if they contain many names:

http://www.interment.net/us/co/index.htm
http://www.interment.net/us/co/adams.htm
http://www.interment.net/us/co/denver.htm
http://www.interment.net/us/co/jefferson.htm
