Kramps in Illinois

I am looking for family info on Elizabeth Kramp and i beleive her husband was Charles. They were from New York and came to Mason Or Macon County In Illinois. My great grandfather John Walter Lash born 1860 in New york came to live with the Kramps when he was about 7 yrs old, this is on all the census, would like to know if he was on an orphan train or just how he ended up in Illinois.

Helen Kramp was my mother. Mary was one of my younger sisters. Her father was Walter Dolan.

I'm looking for any information about my Great-grandfather Franz (or Frank) August Kramp, who settled in Watertown, Wisconsin, by 1884. He was married to Hulda Krueggel, and they had 8 children, all born in Watertown: Edward, Clara, Herman, Hugo, Dora, Emma, Frank and Carl. His si said to have been from Pomerania. I would like to know if he and Heuldawere married before they came to the US, and where she was from.

Wilbur Kramp was my paternal Grandfather. My father was Charles Lee Kramp, born May 20, 1932. I know very little about my father's family and am hoping to learn more. I was told that grandfather's family did come from Germany, but I have no proof. I am very curious to know any information about who Wilbur's parents were.

Hello, I have been researching genealogy of Kramp family of Houtzdale, PA. I can't seem to find a JJ Kramp in my database, but she might be a spouse of a Kramp, born under her own maiden surname. I doubt it the picture would be Mrs. Johanna Kramp. Her daughter, Bertha Johanna Kramp worked at Kruger Studios in Houtzale (no longer in business). I am looking for female descendants of this Jacob Kramp who married Ella Jane McLeod and would be interested in taking an mtDNA test. I'm trying to break down the McLeod wall since there was a break in the family branch when Ella's great grandfather (??I'd have to look back) married a chambermaid and was disowned. Looking for information on this couple, married about 1860 in Germany, had 11-12 children, immigrated to US in April 1881 with three children [Bertha (18), Emma (6), and Albert (1)].

Albert married Frieda Munchow in 1901 and had several children, of which my husband's grandmother Lilly was one. Per 1910 census, August and Caroline were living with son Albert and his family. By 1920, Frieda was widowed and August and Caroline were presumably dead.

The Newsletter of Die Pommerschen Leute, vol 15, Winter 1993, p 44; and item no. 2960, DPL, vol 16, Winter 1994, p 46, published quieries in which someone was looking for info on an Emilie Kramp, b.1849, d.1920 in Canada, who married Hermann Geschke, b.?; d. 1891. Emilie and Hermann had a daughter, Martha Geschke, b. 1885, who m. Karl Neuman in 1903. Die Pommerschen Leute News was published by the late Myron Gruenwald near Milwauki. Sounds like two Geschke men (brothers?) married two Kramp women. This is NOT my Kramp family, but I have a database on several unrelated Kramp lines. Do you have additional info on Caroline Kramp and August Geschke? Where did they live?

John Kramp emigrated from Hinterpommern (eastern Pomerania) and settled in Clearfield Co, PA, in 1881. Married to Johanna Marsh, they had 8 children, 6 of whom were born in Pommern. John Kramp in the furthest I can go back on this line. I'm certain he had siblings. Can you help. There is some evidence his father was named Charles (Karl Kramp). My maternal grandmother was Alma Augustina Wilemina (sp?)Kramp.Her parents were Carl Kramp and Albertina Marr. There is mention of brothers and sisters: Reinhold,Henry,and Theresa. Alma lived in Reedsburg, Wis.I would be thrilled with any info as not too much was passed on. Thanks. Kay Kleeber

I now have Wilbur's obituary. He was born June 2, 1903, in Harbor Beach, Michigan. He had a sister, Frieda Etzel, who was living in Harbor Beach at the time of his death, February 14, 1988. Any information on Wilbur, his parents, or his siblings, would be appreciated.

My great grandmother was Augusta (nee schacht of Treblin, Pomerania) Kramp (d. 1930) - m. Henry John Rehr in 1876. They are the parents to Henry, William & Emma.

Both Augusta & Henry are burried in our cemetery near Rock Springs (Sauk County), WI. Would be interested in any info you have.

Peter Kramp of Shantz Station, Ontario came from Huetschenhausen around 1852. Peter (1791-1869)was married to Barbara Mueller(1789-1859). Their grandson was Jacob Kramp (1845-1923) lived in Sanilac Co. MI. Notify me if you, or anyone, needs any details.etc.
