Hi Cathy, I am the granddaughter of Melvin H. Kremer(B:07/26/1916;D:04/26/1989) who was the older brother to Clarence P. Kremer (B:12/01/1914; D:03/04/1995) married to Geraldine (B:03/10/1918;D:08/1984). It sounds as though we are looking at the same family line. I have extensive information on the Kremer history dating back to the 1700's, would love to touch base with you and share information.
Renee (RLopez8@aol.com)

I am trying to trace a Francis Kremer, wife Catherine Jacob, probably from France. They were living near a French settlement here in Crawford Co., PA, in 1839 and 1840. They had one son, Charles Francis, born here in 1840. The family disappeared shortly after that. Any chance this could be your Francis Kremer?

I am looking for info in Elizabeth Kremer. She was married to Bernard Schmitt (census records show last name Smith). She was born abt 1839 and died abt 1876. Her family I am sure, are from the Marion, Chickasaw, Mercer County area of Ohio. I am trying to find out who her parents were. There are Kramer families in the area, but I cannot connect her to any of them. In 1870 census I show her living with Bernard's (Barney) family in Marion Ohio. Census shows: Barney Smith and wife Catherine (Hagemann) Son John, Son Clemons, dau Katie, son Joseph, son Barney Jr. and wife Elizabeth (Kremer). Daughter Mary (Maria Anna Schmitt) had married Theodore Stammen by that time. Any info would be appreciated.

Dick (Richard) & Jacob Kremer

I recently read an article pertaining to my husband's family being ship builders in Elmshorn, Germany. Richard and his son Jacob were involved with the business. Jacob and his wife Catherine had 7 children, in which their youngest, Deidrich Julius immigrated to the US in 1873. I do not know the names of his siblings, but know for sure of 1 male and 2 female that were living in Germany in 1910 at the time of Julius' death. I am trying to find information on this family along with any information on ship builders in Germany during the early 1800's. Jacob was born in 1806 and his Dad, Dick also was into shipbuilding. Anyone have any information about this family and/or shipbuilders in Elmshorn, Germany I would love to hear from you. Thank you!!

Hi Barbara:

I very much remember your mother Rogene. She was at my grandmother's 90th birthday party. I do believe that I gave her a bunch of the pictures that I had of the old family homestead in sheboygan. I know Mike Gahagan has done alot of the research on the family tree. I my basically just filling in birth dates and places along w/dates of death and where they are buried etc along w/any information I can find out about what each family may have done as a trade etc. Just trivia types of bits and pieces. I have been trying to get the Kremer side started but of the information I have found I'm not sure I have the right lines started. If you have any information on that side of the family I would appreciate it. Also I do have copies of the picture CD along with the slide show CD from my Grandma Sally's birthday party if you would like one. Also I did give Uncle Butchie's daughter Gale a copy before she left if that would be easier for you to get ahold of.

If there is anything I can help with please let me know. Also you can call me at home at 262-392-4052. AH, and yes I am Gordy & Barb's oldest daughter.

Great to hear from you, Sorry for the delay but I still have a 13 year at home and have to fight him for the computer. I just got a laptop but haven't transfered my e-mails to that as of yet.

Sincerely,
Kathy Steege

Dear Kathy,

I am familiar with whom your grandmother is, she may remember me from visits many years ago. We grew up calling her Aunt Sally. When I was little, my parents took us kids down to Milwaukee to visit with her and Uncle Marvin. They were actually my Mom's aunt and uncle. My Mom is Rogene (Federer) Kirchner, her Mom (my grandmother) is Lena (AKA Helen) (Kremer) Federer, Sally's sister. My Mom will be 82 this year and still lives in Sheboygan. She explained that you are Gordon and Barbara's daughter. Also, did you know that Mike Gahagan has done much of the Gahagan Tree? My E-mail is Kirchner1@hotmail.com, please write and we can share information.

Barbara Kirchner
NELLIE KRAMER OF CHICAGO b: c1876 married EDWARD BINGHAM b: c1872

I am seeking information on Nellie Kramer. Nellie was b: c1876 and married Edward Bingham b: c1872. They were married about 1895.

I believe that Nellie’s parents are Lawrence Kramer b: c1838 and Katie ? b: c1845. From the census records Lawrence and Katie immigrated to the U.S. from Prussia. I believe Lawrence and Katie are the parents of Nellie based upon finding them in the 1880 census with Kramer spelled Cramer.

Along with Nellie in the 1880 census were several siblings:
Katie b: c1872
Christina	b: c1874
Nellie b: c1876
Mary b; c1878
Maryann	b: c1879

In addition to knowing about Nellie marrying Edward Bingham, I know that Nellie died very young and Edward married her sister Mary. Nellie’s and Mary’s birth years were also identified in the 1900 and 1910 census respectively. Based on the 1900 and 1910 census information, I concluded that the Nellie Cramer found in the 1880 census is the same Nellie Kramer who married Edward.

I would greatly appreciate any help that you can provide regarding Nellie and her family.

Roy Wainwright
John Kremer and wife Barbara Lenartz (1803-1890) came to America in the middle 1840s. They settled first in NY and then moved on to Dane/Sauk counties, Wisconsin. Had children Lizzie, Barbara, Mary, Anna, Elizabeth, and possibly more, in Hessingen, Luxembourg.
Children married into the Breitenbach, Leikem, and Weynand families.
Want to enlarge on family history. Perhaps Francois was his brother???? These Kremers came to NY and then Dane county, Wisconsin.
Also I have a Peter MOLITER (1839-1914) born in Germany and dying in Sauk county, Wis.; buried in Dane county. He married a Maria GANSER. His parents were Stephen and Mary Schneider Moliter.

Born December 16, 1885, place unknown. She was a registered nurse and I believe she trained in a hospital someplace in Massachusetts. She married Frank Edward Sias in 1921 and bore one son, Frank Jr. I know she had a sister Barbara and a brother Joseph who was deaf. I believe she came within a few short months of reaching her 100th birthday. I also believe she may have died in Philadelphia, PA but its possible her death was in the Camden area of NJ. Any information about her birthplace, date of death and place of burial would be appreciated. Also, where was she married?
Thank you for any help given.

I am also searching the Kremer/Milligan family. My mother-in-law doesn't have excess to a computer and internet so I am trying to do this for her.
Her father is Robert William Kremer b Sep 9 1884 in Michigan. He died on Jan 20, 1956 in Geneva, Ohio and was married to Lillian May Cox on Oct 14, 1914. They had tour children. Elizabeth Janet, Charmian May (my mother-in-law) Warren Robert and Betty who died at 9 years old, the year before Charmian was born. The other two brothers are Earl L. and Lloyd.
I would like to know as much about all this family as I can and get as many ancestors and descendants as I can for her. Charmian, we all call her Charm, loves to talk about her family.
Charm now lives in Dallas, Texas near her son, Kelly, who I was married to four 5 years, then divorced. But Charm and I stay in touch and she is a super trooper.
You have the 23rd of Jan- Robert W. Kremer death. It is the 20th, maybe he was buried on the 23rd. Also, maybe you had a type error, the spelling for last name is Kremer. I hop to hear from you. Joan Deuchar (maiden) ; Molnar - 1st marriage- and Bessette is my married name today.

I just came across this message board and have some information about the Kramers in Racine, Wisconsin. You may well have obtained this information since your original message in 2002 but if not, this is what I know. Elizabeth Ohle (Olle) married Anthony Kraemer on August 25, 1874 in Racine, Wisconsin in a Catholic Ceremony. The priest was Rev. George Strickner. Anthony's parents were Philipp Kraemer and Margaret.... Elizabeth's parents were Philipp Ohle (Olle) and Barbara .... The witnesses to the marriage were John Kraemer and Mary Garnkaufer. The Kramers had 7 children. In the 1880 census, Anthony and Elizabeth were living in Caledonia, Wisconsin where Anthony was a farmer. They had 3 children at that time: John - 5 years old; Phillp - 3 years old and Lucy 2 years old. All the children were born in Wisconsin. Both Anthony and Elizabeth's parents were born in Prussia.

Hope this helps.

Sara

Dear Kathy,

I am familiar with whom your grandmother is, she may remember me from visits many years ago. We grew up calling her Aunt Sally. When I was little, my parents took us kids down to Milwaukee to visit with her and Uncle Marvin. They were actually my Mom's remember me, or at least my Mom.

Relatives from Lithuania/Latvia

My grandfather, Robert Gordon (original surname Kremer), came to the U.S. from the Panevezys, Lithuania area in the beginning of the 20th Century. He had a niece who immigrated to Israel. I am not certain, but her name may have been Leah. I am searching for anyone with connections to people named Davidov, Dawidov, Dawidow, Davydovas, Davidowitz, Dawidowicz, Dawidowitz, Davidoff or any variation of those names. I am not certain of where my grandfather's niece was born, but her family lived in Dvinsk, which was once in Lithuania but is now in Latvia. My grandfather's great- nephew told me that the son of this woman visited his family in Vancouver, Canada many years ago. Unfortunately, he does not remember his aunt's name or her son's name. I have photographs of 2 women. They are either my grand-
father's niece and her mother or my grandfather's niece and her daughter. I would be happy to scan the photograph to anyone who is interested. If you have only limited access to a computer, you may send mail to me at the following address: Linda Gordon Higgins, 4841 Zenith St. #6,
Metairie, LA 70001-6744, USA email:maninthemoon2k@msn.con

John, George, Reuban, Henry, Jacob Kremer/Kramer- PA

John Kremer / Kramer (1797-188?) married to Mary had the following known children Henry, Reuban, George, Anthony, Catherine and Louisa. I find them in 1830, 1840 census in Northumberland County. Henry dies in 1847 and names his father and Daniel Conrad in will. In 1850 they are in Columbia County, PA Bloomsburg. I find John in census up to 1880. Do not have death date. Who is his father? I believe it could be a Jacob or George Adam but have no proof.
