yes, Chipper is Wayne, Richard's nickname was Snookie, I was LuluBelle, I don't think the others had nicknames. ask your dad about his.

My mothers dad was frank jr and her mother was Anna Fiala.

I was looking through for some infor. on my father's family and came across your post. My maiden was Krizek, my father's name was Henry George Krizek and his father was Henry Augustis Krizek. Now I don't know where grand-dad was born but I do most of the family lived in Astoria,NY and Long Island,NY in the mid 20's-30's. I know my father's mother's mother came from Czechosvakia in the late 1800's. I don't know if you & I from the same family tree but it would be a hoot if we were! I'm North Carolina, USA. Well I am a Krizek by marriage and they are Czechoslovakian! I know very little but the ones I know of live in Wisconsin and Missouri if that helps.

Could be same family. Katerina Prazak Krizek, bn 11/20/1874
2nd wife of Vaclav Krizek whose father was Frantisek. I believe she was from Tabor, Bohemia,CZ Niece Frances Fouser Chyma all in the Tama, IA area. I have a little information on the Krizek family from the granddaughter in California, but very limited on Katerina. She is related to my grandmother, Anna Novak Sobotka. I would appreciate any addl information you can give me. Thanks!

maybe you are speaking about Katerina Krizek from the Czech republice ( or Czechoslovakia till 1993 ) , the second wife of Frantisek Krizek ( born on 11/12/1841 ) . They had 8 children, 6 of them left to USA

Her EI manifest does list her last residence as Steyer going to sister Teresia BRA... St. Paul, MN.
KRIZEK surname does show up in Austria's phone book.

Grandma was Josefine Krizek from Stayer (perhaps Steyer, Austria) called herself Bohemian . She was 19 years old and arrived May 20, 1903. She later married Franz Paul Knopf and lived in St. Paul, MN Thank you.
I believe her mom was Anna Krizek and although she visited here she did not stay in America.

Hi, My name is Patricia Barconey, and until September, 2007, I lived in Westbury, New York. (I now live in Pennsylvania.) My mother belongs to the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock, in Manhasset, New York, and she lives in a senior apartment building run by that organization, Hadley House, in Port Washington, New York. A few years ago, a tenant of Hadley House put out an oil painting for anyone to take. This painting is signed by what looks like Kathy Krizek. It is a painting of a black man in the foreground, with other men behind him fishing with a fishing net in the ocean. The subject seems to be life on a Caribbean Island. The painting is about 20" X 24" in size. I am trying to find out who Kathy Krizek the artist is - where she lived, when she was born, etc. I also have another oil painting, another castoff from Hadley House, of a young woman with light brown hair - a large portrait. It is unsigned, but I wonder if Kathy Krizek painted that one as well. If anyone happens to know a Kathy Krizek who paints or used to paint, I would appreciate it if you would contact me. I am trying to find out where in Bohemia the Krizeks' are from. In the Ellis Island files the town name is not clear and is states there too that they were Bohemian.

I have an original postcard photograph of “Norman Krizek – 4 months old”, which I’d like to get back to descendants or family members. Photo was taken in 1917, in St. Louis, MO.

I found Norman in the 1920 census for St. Louis, MO, age 2y, 4mo., son of Anton & Frances Krizek. SSDI shows he was born 3 Jan 1917 in MO and died Feb 1984 St. Louis.

Saw this old post and sparked my curiosity. My husband is Shaun Krizek, son of Donald Krizek and Linda Lawton from Manitowac, WI. He has told me many times that he is of Bohemian descent and his grandmother is German. A lot of Krizek family resides in Wisconsin.

My Grandfather was William Robert Babor sr. born Cook County Chicago Illinois on 05/14/06. His father was Stanley or (Stawislav) Babor and his Mom was Rose KRIZEK and his aunt was named Julia Krizek. I believe his parents were farmers. They are Bohemian. I understand now we would say czechoslovakia. We have family buried at the Bohemian National Cemetery in Chicago Ill. My grandparents lived in Oakpark Chicago when they were married and stayed there in the 10's 20's 30's 40's and then moved to California. My Mom and her sisters were born in chicago along with their brother. Carol, ( the twins Joyce & Joan) and Billy Babor. your message caught my eye cuz i saw "edward krizek" my grandfather was also edward krizek but i believe not the same one as yours. mine was born may 21, 1914 and married agnes sigl. and he died September 27, 1980.

i am researching the krizek line so any info anyone has would be appreciated. happy searching.

He and his wife Josefene have seven children listed: Joseph, Frank, Willie, Victor, Anthony, Christina, Josefene (my husbands grandmother). Family stories say the Krizeks are from Bohemia.

My great-great grandfather, Alphons Morris Hamilton Krizek, was born the 10th of August 1880, in Geneva, Switzerland. His father's name was Alphons Krizek, and his mother's name was Adelaide Morris Hamilton, both from New York.
He died in 1949, in New York City, where he had lived for 25 years.
He left Europe around 1913, and reconnected with his French family in 1946, when he was ill, leaving in a Staten Island hospital called the "Farm Colony."
I would like to know where his family came from, and any descendance he may have in the States, beside me!

John Krizek and Antonie Cuntova got married in 1905.
They both came from Bohemia. They lived in Port
Lavaca, Calhoun, Texas, where had a farm.
They had one son named Julius Krizek and one daughter
named Agnes Krizek. Julius Krizek was born in 1907
and died in 1986. Agnes Krizek was born in 1916
and died in 1987. They both died in 77979 Port Alto,
