Good morning! There are many, many Krizmanic in the village where my Grandma lives. My mom comes originally from Prigorje in Savski Marof. That is about 10 km away from Zagreb. I have sent your message to my cousin and he will try to find some info for you. I will ask my mother. It will be difficult because you have mentioned their english names but originally the names must have been different. It would be helpful if you had more info.

My mother's parents are from Croatia near Zagreb. They are Stephen Krizmanich born about 1880 and Agnes Krizmanich born about 1882. Agnes had one brother whom I knew name Mike Krizmanich. They came to the US in about 1909. My grandfather came first and raised enough money to send for my grandmother and their first child a daughter named Rosemary who later went by Rosie. They had 8 other children. The youngest is still living in Pa. She is 82 years young. My grandmother had the same last name as my grandfather. Everyone in the village I was told had the same last name. My grandfather's mother died giving birth to him. He was raised by an older brother. My grandmother was the only girl in her family. If you know anything about my family I would appreciate the help.

I tried to contact you but unfortunately your email adress does not function anymore. If you are still interessed I might be able to help you. My family lives in Savski Marof - a place where everybody knows the other - and I could ask my uncle for Pintarics and Krizmanics both names sound familyr to me). Nevertheless I already know the Zivoder family in Savski Marof. They are my grandmothers neighbours.

Looking for relatives from Savski Marof kod Zagreba in Croatia.

My fathers name is Ivan Krizmanic born in Savski Marof kod Zagreba in Croatia in 1918 (not sure of the spelling). His mother died in childbirth and he is an only child. Unfortunately I dont know his mothers name except that her last name is Krizmanic. I dont know his fathers name either because they never married and Ivan took his mothers surname. He was raised by his mothers sister (surname Pintaric by marriage). He married Milica Zivoder and had 9 children of which I am the oldest. He died in 1967 at the age of 49. I remember we had distant relatives in Chicago area that sent us packages of clothing and we sent them a picture of our family and one of myself when I was 15 (1957). Some of my family, including myself, are living in Ontario, Canada. I am hoping to get in contact with my fathers relatives. If you have any information on the surnames Krizmanic or Pintaric in America, Canada, or Croatia, please contact me at dakoni5@hotmail.com Thank you.
