Kroeker, Rosina Helena

I am trying to find more information on my Great Great Grandmother, rosina Helena Kroker.
Born 16th December 1808. She married Johanne Carl Gottlieb Huckle Born 29th May 1803. He was born Birken, Kretsham, Silesia Prussia. He camme to South Australia aboard the ship "Pauline" and they lived in Halbury South Australia. There is no information as to wether she was born in Prussia and came out on the boat too but by the dates I would assume she wasmarried to Johanne and traveledn with him. They had a son Johanne Carl August Huckle born in 1838 in Prussia and came with them on the ship "Pauline" There seems to be no info on her so thus none on her parents or sibilings.

I realize that this is to late for the school project, but I think I have some info that might be of intrest.
My Great Grandmother on My Father's side was Helena Heibert (1880-1921). She was married to Mennonite Missionary to India Peter Abraham (p.A.)Friesen (1879-1967). Both were from Cottonwood county MN. Helena was the daughter of Cornelius C. Heibert(b.1855 Russia-d. 1923) and Maria Kroeker (1857-1891)also born in russia. Cronelius C. immigrated in abt 1876. Both Maria and Cornelius C. died in Cottonwood Co. MN. Maria's Parents were Martin (b. 1827) and Elizabeth Peters (1831-1920).
Cornelius K. Heibert(1827-1884) married Helena Eitzen (1828-1904) in 1850 in Choritza, South russia Before immigrating to MN. I don't know who Helena's siblings were. Her Father was David (b. 20 sept 1784 Prussia-26 dec 1845 Russia)and Her Mother Was Helena Goertzen(1801 Choritza Russia- 26 jan 1858). I have seen the last name spelled Eytsen and Edse
I hope this is helpful

I am Emery Donald "Don" Heinrichs, the great grandson of JJK & Anna Neufeld. I have some info & many pictures about the descendants of JJK. What we know of this family has been recorded in the Mennonite Data Base although there are some "holes" in this genealogy. For instance, there is only a minimal amount recorded for Jacob N. Kroeker, the 6th son of JJK & Anna.

Very interesting about your grandfather saying he was from Canada. My grandpa Peter B. Kroeker was born in Morris, Manitoba, died in 1954 at age 83 or so. The "B" stands for "Braun." He was a preacher and owned a large wheat farm, had a carriage house and a smithy. He was tall and portly, with curly silver hair and a full face. A gentler, calmer kind of man, he preferred to inspire and educate rather than be intolerant and authoritarian. He did have american relatives: when my parents travelled from Manitoba to California in 1953, we visited relatives in several states. At the end of a visit, they would stand facing each other in the living room of a house and pray, and then sing "God be with you till we meet again."

Hello Phyllis, there are a couple of Peter Kroeker's in my family tree. I'm wondering if your grandfather Peter Kroeker was the son of Peter Kroeker and Nettie Wiens. I'm wondering if your grandfather had a brother named John Kroeker. Do you have a birthdate for your grandfather? The Peter and John Kroeker that I have (brothers they are) stayed with their grandmother Wiens in Russia when their father left with his new wife to Canada.
Anything sound familiar?
Happy hunting! Hope there is a connect somewhere. Karen

Re: Jacob N. Kroeker

My grandfather was born in Prussia on or about January 30, 1882 and his name was Jacob Johann Kroecker/Kroeker. As the story goes within the family, he left home at the age of 14 and moved to his grandmother's house in Danzig where he graduated at the age of 16. He then joined the merchant marines and travelled the world until the age of 21 when he settled in Philadelphia, Pa. He married Amalie Roth - from the Black Forest area of Germany and they moved to Cleveland, OH where they had four children. Klara, Jacob J. Jr., Amalie, and Henry W. who was my father. My grandfather Jacob Johann was said to move to his grandmother's because his father remarried after his mother died and they did not get along. His mother or perhaps stepmother's maiden name was Janzen/Jantzen. He always claimed that he did not have any brothers, only sisters and that he was raised as a Mennonite. Does any of this sound familiar to you? If so, please do contact me because I'm having a terrible time finding any relatives for him whatsoever! Thanks.

Cynthia it is so nice to here from you. Harry Rankin was my uncle. my father is his brother, Robert Harold Wareham and my mother was Dorothy Jewell Bates. Most of my research so far is related to mom,s family so i probably cannot help much when it comes to the warehams. However i do of course have family information related to my own family. I am the oldest of ten, Nadine Elizabeth, Robert Harold, David Ray, Willard Eugene, Ronald, Kathleen Carol, Irene Joyce, Doreen, Kenneth, Mark Allen. As you can see some of the middle names allude me. Mother passed away in 1881, but dad is still around and living in the jackson, CA. area. I am visiting in MO. so do not have access to my research and so when i get back to CA. will contact you again and we can compare information. nadine Thompson btnbtnbtn@aol.com

Thanks to the research of a wonderful gentleman who knows the Grandma data base of the Molotschna Colony, I have located my Kroeker ancestors, beginning with Jacob Kroeker b. abt 1766 who m. Susanna. Their son, Peter b. abt 1799 married Barbara. Their daughter, Susanna, born abt 1827 m. Johann Koop b. 15 Sept 1826 in Heubeden, Prussia and d. 1873 in Sparrau, South Russia. Johann was the son of Johann Koop and Margretha Wiebe. Susanna Kroeker Koop came to the US 25 July 1875 aboard the SS Nederland with her children, Heinrich, Barbara, John who married Mary Sperling, Peter, Abraham and Margarette. The family settled in Dakota Territory where they are shown in the 1880 Census. I would love to correspond with anyone who has any further information on these families, and would be happy to share whatever I discover.
