I'm not sure where their house was. I know the 4 corners. It was where the town was. The only building I know that is standing is the post office. There is a plat on the Oklahoma rootsweb site. Look on the county site and you will see who owned the parcels of land. The Krogman's are listed. The only other place that is left of Avery is the cemetary. Teresa

Hi. I saw that you said you had a bunch of pictures of a family that moved to Oklahoma. I'm assuming it's Avery, Oklahoma, considering that I did a search for Avery. This family you're talking about. Did they happen to have a really big house at a 4 way in Avery? Me and my friends keep seeing the house and wondering the story. We've been inside. There are tons of rooms. When I saw the list of all the kids, it seemed to match up. This house is amazing, and it has an aura like nothing I've felt before. I was just wondering if this family has anything to do with that house, and if so, could you please fill me in with any information you have? It would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Nichole

hello... I truly believe that we have some family connections...
My mothers grandmother was a Krogman that came here with her family from Germany. We have several letters, announcements, pictures etc.. We also have pictures of them, while visiting/ vacationing, their relation in Oklahoma City, dating 1915 and other dates... Some of the names mentioned in Gramma Krogman's photo albums include John, (Fred), written by it in parenthesis, Emma J, lots of mentions of William, Caroline, and mentions of a child that died on the boat on the way to the states, and the brother that died a year or so after ( both infants). Please... you mentioned that you would be happy to send copies of pictures, etc. and I would be very appreciative if you would or could do so. You can contact myself or my mother at the following e-mail addresses... Traci ( myself)...houston@frontiernet.net
Cheryl ( my mother)...cwoodle@pionet.net

Thankyou for your time,
Traci Houston
Hi Clint, I wondered if you got my info in the mail. This has been such a difficult family to find. I've been looking for them forever. I was 5 when Emma died. My Grandmother and the rest of the family wouldn't talk about Germany. All that I know about Germany is that they fled. When they came to the U.S. they could not speak English. They got on a train and was taken advantage of. They lost most of their money. They didn't intend to come to Oklahoma. They got on the wrong train. It ended up in Bartlesville, Ok. Their original destination was Nebraska. This is the story I was told when I was younger. I have lots of pictures. I'm not very good a sending pictures by e-mail but I'll try. Give me a little time. I have to figure it out. The one picture I will try to get to you is the one that has John, Caroline and their children. It is the oldest picture. I'll talk to you later.
Hi Clint, Who is your ancestor? I found some of my information on the LDS site. The Ellis Island site lists what ship they came on, where they were from and ages of all of the children. I've got a picture of all the family and some individual pictures. I can e-mail you these. If you would like I can try to e-mail you everything I have. My great grandmother was Emma. My father grew up in Cushing. Just a few miles from Avery. Carolina and John William are buried there in a little Lutheran cemetery. I've been there. But it's been a long time. Avery doesn't exist anymore. It's just a crossroads. The cemetery is still there. Talk to you later, Teresa. If you want to directly e-mail me go ahead.
