Krol help

Hi I am looking for my mother's maternal grandmother or her side of the family. Her name was NELLIE KROL B.~1900 and died in July 1971. She was from Polandand was believed to come to the US around the age of 10-12 with another family that was originally from the US. She was going to be their housekeeper/nanny. They had a house or vacation home in Bath Maine. She had a brother Walter (Wvaldaju-?) Krol in Poland whom was a college professor in Poland, he and his wife(also a college professor) had no children. We are really hitting some dead ends here.

I am a Krol/Krul whose last name was also changed when the family came over (from what I was told, someone at Ellis Island forgot to close the "o" all the way.) I am descendant of John Krol, whose name became Krul, who settled in Dubois, PA. John came over with a brother, whose name I do not know. John had sons, Walter, Bruno, and my grandfather, John, those that I know of. John (the son) relocated to Niagara Falls, NY and married Joanna Golanka.

If any of this is familiar to anyone, please contact me at robertkrul27@gmail.com

Hello. Sounds like we are related. My grandmother was the Zofia you are talking about. According to my uncle she was from the Pilzno area. I've found the marriage record for Zofia and Stanley at St. Casmir in Chicago on file. It lists Zofia's parents as Walenty (Valentine) Krol and Mary Anna Walnik.

I'd like to discuss further with you if interested.

Tony

Hi, Where is Jaslo in relation to Gostynin? My Anna Krol/Krolikowska was born 27 May 1858 in Grabie Niemieckie, Parish Dobrzykow, Gostynin, Poland. I have been trying to work directly back on the lines of my ancestors. I have not worked on collateral lines - yet. Anna's parents were married 4 Nov 1852 in Parish Suserz, Gostynin, Poland. Her father's name was Marcin Krol/Krolikowski. Mother's name was Rozalia Witkowska. I may not have found all of their children. The ones I do have are: Eleanora ~1856, Wladyslaw 1862, Wiktorja 1864, Jozefa 1869, Ignacy 1872. Marcin Krol/Krolikowski was born was born 1833 in Szczawin Koscielny, Gostynin, Poland. he had brothers Jan 1836, Stanislaw 1839, & Wawrzyniec 1841. Again, i may not have found all the sibs. Marcin Krol's father was Jozef Krol/Krolikowski b. 15 Mar 1807 & mother was Klara Jackowska b. ~1801. Please let me know if there is a connection.

Unfortunately, I have very little to go on. My grandfather's last name was Krul. His father's name was Michael Krol (looks like Majka on his naturalization papers). His father's name was John Krol, which my grandmother thinks may have been Jan. All I have are names and dates. I have no idea what town they came from in Poland or the surrounding area. It was Michael 1888-1962 that came to Western PA and settled. If you think you may be one of the missing links I'm looking for, I'd love to hear back from you. Thanks so much for responding.

I have come across an authentic WWII Nazi military or gestapo helmet. Inside is a signature in pencil. I can clearly make out the last name of Krol, the first name is hard to see but appears to be something like "Ujollmoun"? I find this very intriguing and would love to find out who about the man who wore this. If you have any information as to this name (or a similar name) or even an area where this name was more predominate, please email me or post a message back. I appreciate any help I can get with this. I have searched EVERYWHERE and can't find anything as to this man!
Thanks,
Amanda

Stanislaw Krol & family, Laczki Kucharskie/Niedzwiada, Chicago

I have a Stanislaw/Stanley and Sophie/Sophia Kopala Krol who arrived in 1896 with children Sophia, Ignac/Ignatz, Marie/Mary, Jan/John, and possible cousin Helena, b. about 1871. They later had Catherine/Katarzyna and Szymon/Simon/Anthony/Tony. Name was changed to Kroll.

Baptismal certificate shows Stanislaw as son of Nikolaj/Mikolaj Krol, from either Niedzwiada or the town he was baptized in, Laczki Kucharskie, between Tarnow and Rzeszow. Lots of Krols from that area, apparently.

I am looking for further info in Poland on my Krols or about the fate of Helena Krol, who came here with them.

hi,
We have a Roman Lemanski born 1855 in Posen Poland who married a Maryanna Garczylinski. His parents are John Lemanski and Mary Kroll. On Roman and Maryanna's marriage papers, signed as a witness is a Jan Krol. I'm not sure, but believe this to be Mary's brother, or father. This was dated 6-13-1882 in LaSalle, Ill. Let me know. thanks, Yvette

Krol in Detroit

My ggrandmother's name was Antonia Krol. She was born abt. 1860 in Poland. Her husband was John Brzonkowski. Antonia died in 1901 in Detroit. Her sister Michalena Krol was born abt. 1859 in Poland. Her husband was John Danielski. I know Antonia came to the U.S. about 1880 and Michalena about 1881. My grandmother once told me that they had a sister named Stella also but I don't know anything about her. Is there anybody that has these Krol's in their family that might be able to tell me where in Poland they came from?

Looking for brother in law / relative Albert/Wojciech Krol

Great grandfather Albert/Adalbert Krol/Kroll arrived 1906 bound for Boyne Falls, MI, USA. Listed as Wojciech Krol on manifest. Says he was going to stay with brother in law, Antoni Furos or Juros? There were 2 people listed under him on the manifest also staying with their brother in laws. I am sure the names were later "Americanized", but they were listed as Antoni Bielec and Wojcisch Karuas. Also states this was Alberts 3rd time here, but haven't found records of other trips listed as 1903 and 1905. Any names sound familiar? Port of Departure was Antwerp, arrived December 5, 1906.
