My name is Marylin - Krolak is my surname. I live in the U.S. - Chicago area and I am interested in emailing other Krolaks. I've attached my family history below but am mostly interested in just emailing other "Krolaks". Plus, it's fun to try to figure out how we may be related!

My grandfather was Josef Krolak (he married Frances Socha). Josef was one of several children born to Wojciech Krolak and Rozalia Glowacka Krolak who came from a town named Kruszwica Poland. His other brothers and sisters were Marianna, Marcyanna, Antonina, Franciszka, Jozef, Julianna, Jan, and Magdalena. These children, either alone or with their spouses, started to emigrate in the1890s. Most, if not all, arrived first in Philadelphia, then many moved on to Chicago.

Anyone think we may be related? let me know. I am curious about my relatives who stayed in the east and am wondering if I am related to the New York based Krolaks.

Hi Andy,

I´m also researching for the Krulak family. My grandfather came from Poland and his brothers moved to the US and to England. I´m not sure if this is the same Krulak-familiy. Maybe we should get in contact.

Sarah B. Krolak, of Natick, MA, died Feb 9, 2003 in Natick, MA. Formerly of La Salle, IL. Funeral Mass will be Sat in St. Valentine Church Peru with visitation in Ptak Funeral Home in Peru, IL on Friday.
She is surviced by two sons Dr. Patrick (Rita) Krolak of Dover, MA, and Dr. James (Ann) Krolak of Everett, WA. One sister, five grandchildren and on great-grandchild. John Krolak and Apolonia Kolecha hd six children, Vincent, Casper, Johhn, Louis, Frances and Josephine. Yes, Casper came to U.S. to work in the zinc mines, he is my grand=father.Vincent also came to U.S., believe John did, too.

Krolaks in SW NY state

The Krolaks of French Creek NY were responsible for convincing my great grandparents to buy a farm in French Creek (about 20 miles east of Erie PA) rather than get a free farm in Minnesota under the Homestead act. It was a good decision. Were any of your Buffalo Krolaks ever farmers in French Creek NY around 1900?

Hi there! I am one of two Krolaks living in Scotland. The other is my brother. I have some cousins living in France. Some spell their name Krolak, and others use Krulak. I have also come accross the spelling Królak. If you would like to get in touch, please do so.

Stan: the easiest way to find descendants is to access the internet white pages of Uruguay. It will give you name, address, and phone number. Many countries are current with their Censuses, not Uruguay.

My Great-grandmother's name was Marianna Krolak born in 1862. She married Franciszek Michalski. She had 6 brothers and sisters. Born in Kruszwica Poland. I would love to get in touch with other family members. They entered the United States through the port of Philladelphia. Some Krolaks stayed in the Philladelphia area, others moved on to Chicago. There are whole family of Krolaks that reside in the upstate N.Y. are. Mostly around the Buffalo area. Aunts, Uncles cousins, you name it. Lots of family history.

I believe Apolonia's maiden name was Kolecka. The story I've been told is that John & Apolonia both died young, leaving their 4 boys and 2 girls orphans. At least 2 boys (Casper and Vincenty) came to America for jobs in the Zinc mines. Do you have any relevant information?

greetings! I am from the Krolak family that lives in Western New York- Buffalo, Medina, and Middleport New York. My grandfather, Leon Krolak immigrated from Poland (from a small town outside of Warsaw)around 1890-1905. His brother later followed and settled in Canada where several Krolak's live.
