Pete V. Krolczyk , Jr., 59, passed peacefully into eternal rest Friday, May 14, 2004, in Brenham, TX. A native Houstonian, Pete moved to Chappell Hill, TX in 2002, fulfilling his lifelong dream of living the country life with 40 acres, but no mule. Pete was a loyal employee of Centerpoint Energy for 38 years. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1962-1966. Married Evelyn Knapik, August 29, 1965, and together they raised two children, Peter Ill and Christian. Predeceased by parents, Rosie (Jozwiak) and Peter V. Krolczyk .

Survived by his beloved wife Evelyn, daughter Christian, son Peter and fiancé Krissy Brown, grandson Matthew Burgess; sisters Martha (Richard) Neal, Bibianne (Benny) Kujawa; nieces/nephews: Vince, Penny, Pam, DeAnn, Carey, Blake and Kim; mother in-law Magdalen Knapik. Also survived by his adoring gang of "outlaws": Jim and Bobbie Knapik, Janet and Gordon Cunningham, Tom and Beth Knapik, Charles Knapik, Michael and Cathy Knapik, Rachel and Scott Breen, Felicia and Jeff Thomas, Ginia and Jack Duffy, numerous nieces/nephews and hosts of friends.

Evelyn wishes to express her gratitude to everyone who extended their love and care during Pete's illness, especially Felicia Thomas and Ginia Duffy for their unwavering love and support.

Visitation begins at 5:30 p.m. Monday, May 17 with Vigil Service following at 7:00 p.m., officiated by Deacon Dan Nowak. Funeral Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 18th., St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Rev. Eugene Shepard, Celebrant. Pallbearers: The Men of Sub Station Projects, Centerpoint Energy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Stanislaus Altar Society, FM 1371, Chappell Hill, TX 77426 or St. Pius X Development Fund, 811 Donovan Houston, TX 77091.
