My great grandfather Reinhold (Harry) was one of those three brothers. My understanding is that 3 of the 4 brothers made there way to B.C. and then down to Portland OR. We're not spread out, but they stayed in the Portland Area for a couple generations.

My grandfather was a Krombein. He had 3 brothers, all of them based in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada, for a time.

All the Krombeins in SA are related? Does that mean that you might know/be related to Irwin Krombein? I have been looking for him for a couple of decades. As I recall, he was a good oak. We had some fun times together. I lost track of him when I came to the states in 1977/1978.

Any help in locating him would be appreciated.

Krombeins from Germany; in US

My family originated from Germany, with later movement to the United States.

My family is largely in the Eastern United States. There is also a set of Krombeins in the Washington/Oregon (Western) part of the United States. However, we have not found a link to one another.

I found your site quite by accident, and am rather glad that I did.

We are a whole family of Krombeins living in South Africa.
Jack, the head of the family, was born in London and emigrated to South Africa.

I would love to hear your story, find out more about any Krombeins around the world.

It seems that all the Krombeins in SA are from the same family.
