Anyone know about William Krohm who married Vera Milton, a Zeigfield Folly in 1928. Could this spelling have altered?

I think that's very likely. His full name was Friedrich Wilhelm Krohm and he was born about 1810. He was married to my relative Vera Milton who was known in the States as Miss England because of her looks. She died in 1952 in America.

His first wife was Maria Nipierala, wherever that surname's from. His father had the same name and was a real estate owner. Family rumour had it he was a count, but I'm fairly cynical about family rumours.

I heard that full name somewhere before. I'll be in Berlin end of next month for research anyway and have a look because I know that a lot of Krohm people came from there like i.e. my great-grandfather whose name was Fritz Krohm which is a shorter version for Friedrich. And back then children were named after their parents or grandparents first names in Germany. <br>So we'll see and if I find anything I'll let you know.

Any idea if he was born in Germany? Because then it would be more likely Wilhelm Krohm.
