I am researching my wife’s family line: John Sweeney b. abt. 1860 New York d. April 1943 Michigan and Ida Jane Krone, b. abt. 1866 Maries County Missouri d. Oct. 1944 Michigan. Children’s names are J. Morgan, Henry, Joseph, J. Glenn, Ida Jane and Catherine Parthena. Based on census data, between 1910 and 1920 the family moved from Webb City, Missouri to Detroit. Some of the children moved to West Virginia. I would like to share any information about this family line. Please contact me at loganboles@yahoo.com or theboles@pacbell.net. Listed with them are a Diedrich Scheper age 51 and a Margaret Scheper age 55 with their family. They were listed as being from Oldenburg. The ship, Lyons of Hallowell was from Bremen, Germany. Some of the family were later listed as being from Baden-Baden. Later a Anthony Miller married Catherine Scheper (Schafer). I found it interesting your name. We always wondered where one of my great uncle's got his name. There was a Cecil Krone who helped build a bridge at the end of Lisburn, Lewisberry, York Co., Pa. I want to talk with you more. Leaste8141@aol.com. Where do you live? Lois

I have a document in my great-grandfathers handwriting done in 1911. John Herman Krone went back to Germany in 1911 in search of family information. He found cities, church records and other information to link back to Christian Krone born ABT 1776 in Berlin. The more interesting note is inscribed on the front. It translates as "Descended from the Swedish Royal Family". I will be happy to share information with interested parties.

Jim Malone
