Death Notice
My friends and neighbors, the sad news that today, the 30th of May, at 2:30 in the morning, my dearly beloved wife Margarethe, born Volgert, at the age of 28 years and 6 months, after much illness, and receiving the holy death sacrament, has gone to a better place.
The funeral will be Wednesday, 7:30 in the morning from No. 467 17th Street, between Cherry and Vliet Streets.

Catherine Kronenberger, born Goelz, beloved wife of Charles H. Kronenberger, mother of Arnold, Earl, Laurenz, and Verna, died an the 23th of May, 1929, age 54 years. The burial will be on Tuesday, at 8:30 in the morning, from the Feerick Funeral home, 4620 North Ave., from there to St. Thomas Aquinas Church at 9:00 in the morning. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. She was a member of the St. Anne Society and the Martha Washington Association.

Brian - The only coat of arms I have found for Kronenberger is one issued by the Kanton of Luzern, Switzerland. There is a Swiss website that includes these. I will see if I can track it down, but you might look under rootsweb for Swiss materials.
Where did your Kronenbergers originate? I can't pinpoint mine as yet but know that the general area must be extreme western Germany (Pfalz, Baden, etc.), Alsace in France, or Switzerland. Don

I am the 4th generation of the von Kronenberger's from Wurzberg, Germany. My great-great-grandfather was Alfred E. von Kronenberger. When they came to the U.S., they settled in Covington, LA.
