I am trying to find information on my maternal grandfather John Frederick Krueger who was born about 1888 in Dubuque. His parents were John and Sophia Krueger. He had brothers Herman and William who were born in Germany. My grandfather died in 1966 in Seattle. I can find little information on my great grandfather except for a name. No record exists of his birth or my mothers Marguerite Krueger born in Dubuque. Sophia was married 3 times with the last to a Weinhappel. Then, again, there are rumors that he was adopted after being born to a relative. Everyone is deceased. My mother died when I was a child and I have no information on my grandfather. My grandmother was a Tschol and she was born in Dubuque. I am about to give up.
