I just ran across this message - seven years later. Anyway, Christian Nurenberg was my G,G,G Grandfather. Several years ago, I traveled to Port Sanilac and visited the cemetery where he is buried. Albert was either my father's Grandfather, or one of his brothers. My Grandfather was Elwyn (1896-1963) and my father was Gerald (1926-2000). Elwyn had another son, Reid (1923-2008) and daughter, Meryle (1930?-). Wish I knew more about exactly where in Mecklenburg the family came from. My understanding is that Christian immigrated to the U.S. in 1854.

Have figured out that Otto W Krumm married Lena (Last name unknown) who was born in 1856. He died sometime after 1886 when my gr-grandmother Lizetta was born, and 1900, because Lizetta and Lena Krumm were listed as boarders.lizetta was 13 or 14. sometime before 1908 she married Jacob R Gray, and lived in Lynchburg, where my grandfather Roland Elwood Gray was born. Otto Krumm was born in 1820; he became a Naturalized Citizen of the US 1880, Lizetta was born 1886

Hi : ) I'm looking for info on Daniel Krum b. 1820 d. 1905. He was married to Hannah b. 1828 and the father of Erwin b. 1862, Amanda b. 1876, Ellen b. 1859 and Ulises b. 1857. The last name of Hannah may have been Dreisbach. They lived in Franklin, Carbon Co., PA. Some Krums can be found in Heidelberg, PA in the 1700s but I've been unable to link my Krums to these. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thank you : ) Barbara

Yes, this is an active cemetary, though I have been told that this cemetary has been transcribed w/o pictures, I can't seem to find it posted anywhere else, so to my knowledge at this point, as I am not completely done here, that there are no other Krumms, (there are broken/unnamed markers here)though there are other cemetaries in Ontario, and across the river in Idaho. If you want, I can find out if they are on line for you. This office is not manned on a daily basis, only the greenskeepers show up every day, so I am not sure if they have burial records there or not, though at some point I will have to make an appt to talk to the curator. I will keep your email and get back to you asap. My last name is Johnson, I live in Idaho. And you are welcome =)
CDJ

Flora B PRATT was born on 23 Sep 1878 in Columbia Co., Wisconsin, both parents born in Wisconsin. 1900 census shows with as Aug 1879; tombstone and birth records shows Sep 23, 1878. She married Martin W Krumm, son of William Krumm and Caroline C Wickliff, circa 1905. She died on 16 Jun 1911 in Malheur Co., Oregon, at age 32 death record shows Jun 16; tombstone shows Jun 17. She was buried in Evergreeen cemetery, Ontario, Malheur Co., Oregon.
She appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Eureka precinct, Furnas Co., Nebraska in the household of her parents Charles A Pratt and Ella Pratt, age one; her father is a farmer.
In 1900 Flora's occupation was as a school teacher at Arapahoe precinct, Furnas Co., Nebraska. She appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Arapahoe precinct, Furnas Co., Nebraska in the household of her parents Charles A Pratt and Ella Pratt, she is age 20 and single. No occupation is listed for her father.
Martin W Krumm and Flora B Krumm appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Nyssa, Malheur Co., Oregon, at Boulevard Road, enumerated 12 May 1910, renting their farm. Flora reports she is the mother of two children after five years of marriage. Each of them also say they have been married only once. Listed with them are two sons, toddler Alvin and infant, Charles. Martin is now 40 and Flora is 31.

Martin W KRUMM was born on 23 Jan 1870 in Franklin Co., Ohio. He died on 3 Aug 1927 in Twin Falls, Twin Falls Co., Idaho, at age 57. He was buried in Ontario, Malheur Co., Oregon. He appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Franklin Co., Ohio, in the household of his parents William Krumm and Caroline C Krumm, an infant, age 3/12. He appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Miffilin twp., Franklin Co., Ohio in the household of his parents William Krumm and Caroline C Krumm.
In 1920 Martin's occupation was as a farmer on own account at Hansen, Twin Falls Co., Idaho.
Martin W Krumm appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Hansen, Twin Falls Co., Idaho, enumerated 4 Feb 1920, now age 50 and a widow, Martin is raising his two sons, Elvin and Charles alone.
Children of Flora B Pratt and Martin W Krumm were as follows:
+ 2	i.	Elvin Myron KRUMM was born on 30 Nov 1907 in Oregon. He married Dorothy Marcellas Estling, daughter of Albert Estling and Mary Marcellas (--?--), on 23 May 1930.
3	ii. He married Pearl Ruth Muse, daughter of Jim H Muse and Ollie G (--?--), on 27 Aug 1931 in Idaho

****************************************
The family seems to have moved on to Idaho after Flora's death.
Some stayed there in Idaho until their deaths, but others ended up in the state of Washington.
My guess is that Flora's husband is also buried there in Evergreen cemetery, Martin W. Krumm, and I would love to have a photo of his tombstone as well!
This KRUMM family came from Germany and settled originally in Franklin Co., Ohio.
I have a KRUMM family database online at:
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ohio/krumm_site/kru...
*****************
I do not know what happened to the daughter, Lottie Mae Krumm.
She may have died as an infant.
She does not show up in the 1910 or 1920 census with her father. When was she born? When did she die?
So you "might" find her there in the cemetery.
Possibly did Flora die giving birth to Lottie??
Flora was only age 32 at death.
*******************
Is Evergreen cemetery an active cemetery?
Are there burial records that could be searched?
********************
Thank you for posting this photo online.
I would like to have your full name, so I can post that on the photo giving you credit for your work!

I am transcribing the Evergreen Cemetary in Ontario, Malheur Co., Oregon and thought I would post pictures of the Pre-1900 headstones for those interested in having them. This is a very large cemetary, there is a possibility there could be other family members buried here after this time period. If you are interested in them, I can look for them specifically.

Jacob Krumm(s) of Ohmenhausen in Germany

Does anyone have information to clear up the following: Were there four Jacob/Jakob Krumm/Krums living in Ohmenhausen and having children about the same time, or could there possibly have been just one Jacob? Below is the information as I have it:

1. Jacob Krumm, wife Maria, had a daughter Barbara Krumm b. 21 September 1647 Ohmenhausen. Barbara married Jacob Riehle.

2. Jacob Krumm, wife Margaretha, had a daughter Margaretha Krumm b. 15 March 1649/50 Ohmenhausen. Margaretha married Georg Kemmler.

3. Jacob Krumm, wife unknown, had a son Martin Krumm b. 28 February 28, 1650/51 Ohmenhausen. Martin married Elizabeth Motzer.

4. Jacob Krum, wife unknown, had a son Johannes Krumm b. 11 June 1653/54 Ohmenhausen. Johannes married Magdaline Digel.

If we could find out that these 4 individuals are actually just one person, then we could connect up several Krumm families living in the USA.

Carolyn Krumm Naas
Am looking for Krumms who settled in St. Louis in 1850/60 who were Louis (cook in St. Louis Hotel). John, a carpenter with wife Josephine, who are distant relatives of our Krumm clan. Are these any of your relatives-one brother Matthias moved to Kansas after Civil War and joined another brother Wendelin. All born in Baden- this could be Baden in Bavaria, or Baden, as in Baden- Wurtemberg state. Looking for Louis and John-only record is Census for one ten year period.

Could you post more info on them?

As for the Schneider's, there were many in the locale in which I research, and Carl Charles Snider/Schneider's name was often spelled "Snider". They also had more children then what has been mentioned in this message thread. I found several baptismal records for their children in the Betzer Church records of Bloom twp., Fairfield Co., OH.

Andrew C and Dorthy (Engle) CRUM / KRUMM: Pennsylvania

Andrew C. Crum lived in Wilmerding, PA (Southside of Pitts). He died at the age of 40, leaving a widow (I believe is Dorthy Engle) and two children. He was a "master painter" and a member of the Heptasoph society. One of these children was Andrew S.J. Krumm (1858 - 1898). This son married Mary Bomback (or Bombach). He also died at age 40. I believe he was a concert violinist w/ Pittsburgh Symph. Orchsta. Together, Andrew II & Mary had six children - 5 girls, 1 boy:
Mary Elizabeth 3/1883 (+ John Clements in 1913)
Mary Magdalena 10/1884 (+ Ed. Obbrecht/ Obbright in 1904)
Clara Gertude 1/1886 (+ James Lingelbaugh/ Lindenbach in 1907)
Annie Florence 1/1888 (+ Albert Moore in 1907 *had twin sons)
Loretta Cicily 11/1892 (+ Joseph Schwartzwalder in 1911)
Andrew III 5/1897 (+ Mable Yantch in 1929)
The family attended St Michael's Church on the southside of Pittsburgh.

Looking for anyone researching this family tree.
