My great-grandfather emigrated from Lipsk around 1906 with his wife, Kateryna (Katherine) and 3 children, Jan, Maria, and Josef. He settled in Winnipeg and his obit says that he had a brother in Poland, Elias. Does anyone have more info on this family? I know that Jan (John) died in Detroit in 1939 but don't know if he left a family. Joe, I believe, died in Chicago in the 30's also. They also brought with them Symeon's mother-in-law from his first marriage! Her name was Josefa Ricava (I think, the writing is hard to read.)
