Trying to find Margaret or Marguerite Kruse.. Where to start?

I'm looking to find information on my great grandmother. We thought her name was Marguerite, but it may have been changed to Margaret somewhere along the line? She married Harry Boresen. She was born between 1890 & 1900 as best I can tell.
Her family came from Norway, but she may have been born in America
