I am trying to find out about my maternal grandfather - Pierre. He was in Australia prior to 1942. I believe his sister also resided here, her name may have been Gladys. According to my Grandmother, they were from Alscace-Lorraine area.

sorry for delay in replying, we were off line for 2 weeks or so. Note you are in Luxembourg, and we are in contact with Dr Henri Kugener in Lux. he may be able to help you more than us. He is in phone book I think, let us know how you get on. We have a language problem when contacting him so we don't have alot of contact.

Why ? Kugener Nicolas * 24.12.1780 Michelbuch married Deltgen Magdalena one of my ancestors.
The oldest Kugener i have is Thilmanus ex Nommern * 1695-1705

I am a Kugener from Luxembourg. I have made research on my familly and go back to late 1700. My familly is from the village of Mersh and more recently from Burglinster where one of my uncles still owns a restaurant (10 km from Luxembourg city). My grandfather was born in Burglinster and died two years ago in France. I am living in Geneva (Switzerland).
