October 8, 1761:
Whereas a certain Girl, named Margaret Kuhrt, on the 22d of September 1753, was bound before the Mayor of the City of Philadelphia, to one Reuben Ludlam, but his place of Abode was not mentioned in the Indenture; and whereas John Ernst Kuhrt (the Father of the said Girl) of Quitinpshillin Creek, in the county of Lancaster, living near Jacob German's Plantation, is desirous to know what is become of his said Daughter, having never since heard from her; therefore the said John Ernst Kuhrt desires any Person or Persons, who can give him any Information of the said Margaret or Reuben, to let him know by Letter, or otherwise; which Favour will be greatfully acknowledged by their humble servant,

I am not related to this family, I am just passing on this information, which comes from a book titled "Runaway Women, Elopements And Other Miscreant Deeds, As Advertised In The Pennsylvania Gazette - 1728 -1789. (together with a few abused wives and unfortunate children)." Compiled by Judith Ann Highley Meier. Published by Closson Press. 1993. Page 33.
