kulesza family

My grandmother came from dlugoleka, Poland near Knyszyn Poland. She married Jan Kolenda in 1910 Wilkes-Barre, PA. She came to the USA I think with a brother or two brothers and a cousin named Albin Poplawski or someone else named Poplawski. She died in 1934 in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. I was told that she had a brother who lived in the Scranton, Pa area who died during the flu epedimic there ? She had either a brother or cousin who became a Priest in Poland? Has anyone ever heard of them? Or has any information of other family members living possibly in the Scranton, Pa area? If so write back. Thank you

My great-grandfather's brother, Antoni Roszkowski, had a daughter, Franceszka Roszkowska who married a man by the name of Andrej Kulesza. According to my relative in Poland whom I obtained this information from, Franceszka died around 1964. Franceszka and Andrej Kulesza had one son I'm aware of by the name of Joseph. Joseph married and had 3 children: Zofia, Jadwiga and Marion. Marion married a women with the surrname of Glowacki. Growing up in Poland, Franceszka and her siblings were raised in a small village called Lupianka which is not far from Lapy. It's a good bet if these Kulesza's are your relatives that they also came from around this area too.

Kulasa Family

My fathe was John Peter Kulasa. He was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1901. In 1909 the family returned to Poland. The area they returned to was Rzeszow (powiat Blazowa). I do not know to much more about the Kulasa side of the family in Poland. His father was Frank (Francziszek) Kulasa. When my fathers mother died in Poland, his father remarried to a woman whose name was Magdalena Kulasa. I heard they may have distantly related or not at all. his father then came to East Chicago, Indiana and had 3 more sons. One of these sons is still living, Joseph Kulasa in Highland, Indiana. A brother of my grandfather's wife(Magdalena Kulasa), Peter Kulasa, married a great aunt of mine (Tekla Wozniak), and they lived in Posen, Illinois. Peter Kulasa was a widower when he married my great aunt. He had 4 children from his first wife, and 4 more children with his second wife (my great aunt Tekla)

My family tree includes my great aunt Magdelene Strawinski who married a Kulesza (first name is something like Balislaw). This family is located in the Connecticut area (married in new Britain CT). The marriage would have been anywhere from 1910 to 1925. They had 11 children (Irene, Thomas, Ernest,Raymond, Henry, Anthony, Joanna, Joseph, John, George, Ann).

I need birth/death/spouse/children information on the above if anyone can help. I am related through the Strawinski line and I have information that I can provide on the maternal side of the family.

If anyone can help please contact me.
Kulesza-Wisconsin

My paternal grandmother, Franciszska (Frances) Kulesza was born in 1889, supposedly in Poznan, Poland. Her sister Marta (Martha) was born there in 1891, and also Anna (date unknown). Frances married Louis J. Anderson in Milwaukee, Wis.,and was the mother of 5 children; she died there in 1941. Anna married Carl Meissert there. Martha never married; she died in Milwaukee in 1965.

The father of all 3 women was Joseph Kulesza; his wife was named Anna. Family lore has it that they all came from Poznan.

Kulesza is not a very common name in the USA; so I am hopeful that I will find someone who has a connection with this family. It seems unlikely that they did not have more relatives somewhere--probably left behind in Poland. Any info is appreciated.
