Re: Franz Kulla

It is possible that the Franz you are looking for is my great grandfather. He and my great grandmother Angelica(?) Whelan emmigrated to the states around 1920 from Silesia, bound for the midwest, but ended up staying in Hoboken NJ. They had 3 girls, 2 now dead, one (the oldest still living). In the late 30s the family moved back to germany, but shortly before the war sent my grandmother back to NJ. We understand that he died in a camp in germany during the war. One of his granddaughters still lives in fallingbostel germany. I would be interested in knowing the connection since we don't know much about his family.

Franz Kulla

My grandfather's brother,FRANZ KULLA" emigrated to America after 1920.He was born around 1900 in Silesia,Germany and got married there shortly before leaving for the USA.I seem to remember that my grandfather told me his brother was bound for Minnesota ,but I'm not sure about it.We would like to know if he had any children or grandchildren with whom we could get in touch ,just to find out what happened to Franz.Except for a few letters he wrote from America soon after he arrived, the family never heard of him again.Thanks-Gabi
