After two years I need to update. My great grandmother Lisette Kümmel Ueffinger came to New York City with my great grandfather Christian M. Ueffinger in 1870. They were both born in Prussia. Lisette also had a sister named Lena living with her in 1870 New York. She was born in 1840 and her parents were August Kümmel and Elizabeth Dietz. I have not been able to find a passenger record or my great grandfather's naturalization papers to find from what village. I have seen a posting on the L.D.S. sight for an August Kuemmel born in Prussia 1805. This could fit for my August. If anyone has any info I would appreciate it. If you have a hint on naturalization papers out of New York that would be great! Thanks! Al
