SUICIDE MARKS BIBLE VERSE ON KILLING
San Diego, June 30 – An ex-convict, who six months ago was released from prison after serving a sentence from five years to life for a shotgun murder, took his own life today after marking a Biblical injunction against killing, the Coroner’s Office reported.
Found dead of carbon monoxide poisoning in a car was Theodore Kurowski, 54. Dep. Coroner M. T. McKisic said Kurowski was sentenced to prison for the 1951 shotgun slaying of Earl Shreve, 43.
Near a suicide note in the car was a BIBLE open to the St. James Epistle in which were marked verses six and nine:
“Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you.”
“Grudge not against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned.”
”Behold, the judge standeth before the door.”
