Forgive me for the lateness of my response, but thank you for your info. In fact the names that you included in your response are familiar to me frederick kyzer is my grandfather and the others are aunts and uncles of mine. I have an old black and white photo of them all standing together. I am very interesed to learn more and thank you kindly for your help.

Geo. Walter and wife are at the Lutheran Cem but no stones. Geo. W.'s father, Jacob, was a bro. to John B. and the Rev Drury Kyzer that you found, is John B.'s son. I'm in Ms. and descend from a brother of Jacob and John B.

Cleopatra Kyzer (or Kyger), Columbia, SC 1900-1920's

I am backtracking hoping to obtain information on Cleopatra and her husband J. T. Wessinger.

She was a daughter of George M. and Rebecca Kyzer (or Kyger), depending on which census you're looking at. Her husband, J. T. Wessinger was killed in a train accident about 1914.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

George Walter and Missouri Ann (HARMON) KYZER were my 2nd great grandparents.

In June 2006 I was able to visit the St John's Lutheran Church cemetery near Lexington South Carolina. My time was limited but I tried to take photos of every gravestone that seemed to relate to Kyzer, Kaiser or Harmon. I expected to find George Walter and Missouri Ann's graves there.

Unfortunately I didn't find any names that I could relate to people currently in my family tree.

I wonder if anyone knows of name lists from other cemeteries in the area?

"Mary 'Della' Kyzer, 84, of Leesville, died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2005. Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, at Convent Baptist church with interment in the church cemetery with the Rev. Bill Padgett officiating.
Mrs. Kyzer was born in Wagener [, Aiken County, SC] to the late Jacob Ravenell and Alma Lee Jeffcoat Gantt. She was a member of Convent Baptist Church. She was married to the late Talmadge Randolph Kyzer, Sr. and was a homemaker.
Surviving are her sons, Talmadge 'Randy' Randolph Kyzer, Jr. of Ohio, James 'Jimmy' Tillman Kyzer of New Holland, Frances 'Vance' LaVance Kyzer; daughters, Mary Ellen Shumpert, Marian A. Laird, Rachel Delena Kuehner, all of Leesville; 19 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by a brother, Jacob Ravenell Gantt, Jr.
