Henry Laabs, a lifetime farmer in the Town of Cedarburg died Monday, March 13 at Alphonsus Hospital at the age of 90. Mr. Laabs resided at 4418 W Cedar Creek Road, Grafton.
He was born Sept. 21, 1887 in the Town of Cedarburg. On Oct. 18, 1911, Mr. Laabs married Ella Just. She preceded him in death on Nov. 29, 1915. On Feb. 1, 1919 he married Adela Laubenstein, who preceded him in death on July 6, 1968.
Mr. Laabs is survived by three sons, Walter of Grafton, Henry (Marion) of Wauwatosa, and Arnold of Cedarburg, one daughter, Edna (Arthur) Winter of Milwaukee and one brother, the Rev. Herman (Marie) Laabs of Mayville. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Laabs will be held Thursday, Mar. 16 at 7:30pm at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton. The Rev. Jon Suelflow will officiate with burial in St. Paul Cemetery.
Mr. Laabs will lie in state at the church on Thursday from 4pm until the time of services.
The Mueller Funeral Home, Grafton, is handling the arrangements.
