laban in south pacfic island of samoa

I was told that my 3 x great grandfather a chemist graduate educated in boston usa of danish descent came to samoa around the 1800's. His name was peter laban (or peter jacob laban). We had a laban family reunion in samoa 2002 and can not trace any further back from peter laban. We dont know who his father or mother or brothers or sisters are or if he was originally from denmark or usa. He came to samoa as a chemist and helped the samoan people in medicine and oil extraction from copra.

Iam from the netherlands. Probaly related to you. The first time the name Laban appeared in the netherlands was around 1600. William Loban was from Scotland and was an officer in a scottish regiment that defended Holland against Spain in the 80 years war. He married in Holland and was registrated as William Laban.

Looking for information on Laban family from Netherlands, settled around Grand Rapids, or Missaukkee county areas of Michigan. Anna Laban married William Knop, also from Netherlands in Michigan in mid-1800s. Her father was Adriaan Laban & she had a brother by the same name.

I am trying to collect information for the family tree on my husband, Robert's side. His father is James Henry, who has 2 siblings, Honey and Tom. His grandfather was Henry Laban(died 1967), who had a wife named Lillian(died 1996). They lived in Austoria, New York then relocated to Vermont. Any info on Henry's parents would be helpful.

Am looking for info on Ignatius or Ignatz "Fred" LABAN born 03 Apr 1884 in Brestovatz, Austria-Hungary. He immigrated to US (don't know the year)& married Barbara MERTH SCHNEIDER in 1906. They settled in St. Paul, Minnesota. His father was Joseph LABAN from Ploschitz, Austria-Hungary. If anyone has any info, I would appreciated it.

I am looking for information on Carl Labahn, born in germany, 20 Dec 1829. He emmigrated in 1862-1864, settled in Chicago, were he died 28 Apr 1907,at his home at 1500 N. Ashland Avenue, Chicago, buried in Wunder's Cemetery Chicago. He married Emma Weiss between 1896 and 1898. He was previously married, and I would like to know to whom. He was proported to be in the brick manufacturing business. Would like to know where in germany he was from and any details of his life in Chicago.
