I have a lot of information about the Labrum/am/om family but cant trace your ancestors, I have several Charleses on my tree but do not know whether yours is amoung them.
The name is from De L'abram and originated in Newchatel in Switzerland. The family arrived in England at Colchester in 1216 and moved to Northampton, where there are still Labrums in the area.
Be happy to share any details with you.
LABRUM

My name is John Labrum, born in Los angeles, 1932. My father Millard was born in upper New York 1890. His father was Issac, born circa 1845 in New York. He was a Methodist minister. His father Charles immigrated from England, area unknown with his brother named Ted (I think). Charles died in the Civil War a week before Lee surrendered and is buried under the name Labram. I believe Labrum is an English corruption of the French "Le Brun" who were Huegonots(?) fron the Geneva area.

I am searching for relatives of Rose and Fred Labrum who were in Burton Latimer in 1918. I know they had about 8 children and 1 was my Grandmother Gladys, but would like to know what happened to them after that. The names of their other children were Wilfrid, George, Roland, Violet, Grace and Winnifred. Can anyone help?

Diane

Hi , Many thanks for your interest. I'm fairly certain now that I don't have a blood or marriage link to Harry Labrum - but it was interesting looking!. Still haven't worked out why my family moved to Northants from Lincolnshire in the early 1900's , hopefully the 1911 census will give me a clue! Thanks again,

Malcolm
