My maiden name was Lacroix. I was born to Harold and Doris Lacroix in Prince Albert in 1943. My father was named after his Uncle Harold LaCroix. My grandfather, Ernest, was Harold's brother, as was Nelson and Charles. Ernest's wife was Evelyn (Bunty)and Nelson's wife was Elsie. Harold moved to California a was a senior executive for Columbia Recordig Studios. I also have a copy of the Lacroix family history, done by a relative from Quebec.
Lacroix - Quebec to Massachusetts

I am trying to find information on my ggrandfather's family. His name was Paul Napoleon Lacroix and he was born in 1866, most likely in Trois Rivieres, Quebec. He eventually settled in Fall River, MA, and married Adelina Boucher. They had 9 children.

Paul’s death certificate lists his parents as Charles and Marie. His obituary notice, in 1945, says that he had a brother named Edmond who was living in Providence, RI, at the time.

Does anyone have any information on Charles, Marie, or Edmond Lacroix? Or know of any other siblings?

Louis Lacroix dite Corbin (abt. 1754-1822) married two women named Marguerite. I am interested in finding information on his first wife. His first wife's last name is not legible on any document that I can find. I cannot find a birth record and the marriage record does not list the names of her parents. Sometimes it almost looks like her
last name is written as savage, other times it looks like some name that starts with a j. Marguerite died in 1782 in Kamouraska, Quebec. She was about 30 years old. Louis's second wife was Marie Marguerite Apolline Ouellet.

All I know is that my grandma, Constance Mildred Lacroix(Emma-married name) is the daughter of a Richard N. lacroix and a Lola Berniece Stevens(maiden name). She is no longer alive and it is so hard trying to find information. I feel I am cut off from that part of my family and if anyone knows of them please replie soon. Thank you!

Hi Larry, I am the one that came to Jamestown a few years ago and met with your family concerning the family tree.
I am the granddaughter of Celeste Ann Newbree Kaiser, Beatrice was her sister. I was wondering if there was any new info I could get from the family? Need to update what I have. I heard also that John Adams was suppose to be in the family line but have not found it yet. I did find that Frank was the father of Floyd; David the father of Frank and possibly Alexander the father of David. Found an Alexander in Forestville Cemetery up there in your area, not sure if he is the one or not. Ella LaCroix Newbree was suppose to have siblings and maybe even a twin, can I get any help on her?

Thank You
Darlene Putze
Pittsburgh
DBPutze@verizon.net

I have been looking for information on the family of Emmanuel LaCroix and Marguerite Riopelle. I am a descendant of their daughter Marie Adelaide (also known as Mary Delia or Delia) who was born about 1841 and married Jean Baptiste Labadie in November 1857. She also married a man named Jenkins between 1871 and 1876 and then married a Thomas H. Summers who owned a restaurant in Ecorse, MI after 1876 but before 1880. Please contact me if you are interested in sharing information.

Thank you,

Jeanne Croud
