Researching Charles LACROSSE b. 1823 Canada lived in (1880)Leelanau County Michigan married Philomene GAUTHIER b.1838. Can. > children > Edward> (married Emma PERRAULT), Frank,Caroline,Matilda, Minnie, Joseph, George, Mary, Charles, Peter, Lewis, Emma. I am searching for relatives of Lawrence Mahlon "Swede" Lacrosse, born July 18, 1904, Delta, Wisconsin; died, July 1968. Swede was an intinerant baseball and football player in the upper midwest in the 1920s-40s. He played for the Superior Blues (Northern League)in 1941. I'm trying to find some info on my grandfather Emil La Crosse. He was born in Belgium but I don't know what town. He came to this country when he was around 12 yrs old with some cousins. This is heresay b/c I never knew Emil. The cousin's names were Du Pont and Du Bois. He was born in 1864. Don't know the month. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My grandmother's name was Georgianna LaCrosse or LaCroix. I even have one spelling of Loucuse. I am searching for her parents. She was born outside of Montreal somewhere. Her mother died and she was in a convent there. She died around 1962 in Massachusetts. She was married to Ernest Elwell. She lived prior to her marriage in Rhode Island.

My grandfather Emil came from Belgium. I don't know what town. Based on his tombstone, he was born in 1864. I was told he was aprox 12 yr old when he came to the US. He came with cousins. I think their name was Du Bois. I never knew my grandfather and I would like to know as much as I can. All the people I could talk to that I know are dead. This might help. He Married a Gertrude Daniels I think right around the turn of the century. Thanks for any help.

Hi Lori, I don't know anything about your Armena. But, I do have a Joseph Lacrosse from Detroit, MI that is connected to my family somehow. I'm not sure on a time frame. Assuming maybe late 1800's/early 1900's. I believe he came from Montreal before that.

I am trying to find info on my paternal grandfather Emil La Crosse (La Croix). I don't know much about him. He was dead before I was born. Emil was from Belgium. City unknown. I was told he came to the US when he was 12 yrs old. He was born in 1864, month unknown to me. I was also told, source maybe unreliable, he came with some cousins. They were Duponts and Du Bois. Don't first names. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
