Joseph LaFerriere of Lowell, Mass

Just starting research on Joseph. Only know he was born in Canada, that he was a radio personality, wrote poetry and philosophical articles for a local paper and that a book was written compiling his work. He had 17 children one being Jacqueline LaFerriere (born abt July 21, 1929)who married Edwin Watkins and moved to New York. If anyone has any leads I can follow I would greatly appreciate it...hitting walls whereever I turn.

Charles Laferriere

I am looking for my great grandparents. My great grandfather was Charles Laferriere and my great grandmother was Almina Ladeau. They were both from canada, I think the Montreal area. My grandfather's, Frederick Laferriere, birth certificate list his mother as Olivia Ladro and I also have a family record that list her as Almina Ledeau. Charles was born about 1853 and Almina was born about 1855. Charles immigrated to the U.S. in 1870 and Almina immigrated to the U.S. in 1872. My great grandparents had the following children: Durilla A. born about 1887, Henry J. born about 1889, Frederick G. born about 1892, and Lillian L. born about 1897. My grandfather, Frederick was born at westford, Massachusetts. During the 1910 census, my Laferriere relatives were residing in Leomin ster, Massachusetts. This is all that I know of my grandfather's family. I would like to know if anybody out there might know who Charles Laferriere's and Almina's parents could be.

Sue Givens

Louis Leferier

I am searching for information on my great grandgfather, Louis Leferier. Church records indicate he was born on April 24, 1836 in St. Michel, Quebec. He lived for a time in Sibley County, Minnesota and served in the Seventh Minnesota Infantry during the civil war. He married Louise(a)Jasmer in 1867. He moved to Marshall county, Minnesota in 1883 and died there in 1929. He may have lived for a time in Missouri and/or Iowa. I have this basic info, but would like information that would allow me to conect him to other ancestors in Quebec and France. If anyone has info, or can point me to a source to help with my search, I would be most grateful. Thanks, in advance, for the help!
