Hello, maybe my Lafferty Family will sound familiar to someone here ... My great grandmother was Mary Lafferty born July 1888 , in Orange Essex Co. NJ , her parents were Margaret Farley and ( not sure if father's fisrt name was John or James) Lafferty .. My great grandmother had 2 brothers Robert and Daniel no one seems to know what became of them.. Thee was a Lafferty Dairy Farm at one time in Orange , it was part of my Lafferty family but not sure how at this time, might it have belonged to Mary's family? I have heard it said that her dad was a shoemaker , he came from Londonderry.. Maragret Farley was born in what is now Cavan (was Meath County ) County , Ireland.. Mary Lafferty married Benjamin Waer they had like 6 children , Henry , Robert (my grandfather) , Maragret , Mary , Bernidine and wilson Waer.. Benjamin Waer died young of TB and Mary then married a man named John Brown with whom she had 2 children a son John and a baby who died .. Mary is buried in St. Mary's Cemetery in Orange NJ with her husband John . Her first husband Benjamin Waer is in the same cemetery as is her son Henry .. Any help will be gladly appreciated, thanks..
