Louis LaFleur and Catherine Pitre of Quebec and Franklin Co New York

Louis LaFleur married Catherine Pitre around 1847 in New York, I believe. They had at least four children; Fanny, Mary, Thomas, and Louis JR. This family was mostly residing around Malone, Franklin, New York. They were Canadians with roots in France. If anyone is familiar with this family please contact me. Catherine Pitre's ancestry is very nicely documented. I am very interested to find Louis Sr.'s parents.
Joachim LaFleur's children were Joseph and Julia, Julia married Joseph Desautel also an employee of the Hudson Bay Company.
Hi I am looking for information about Scholastique Lafleur who was married to Jean Baptiste Morin in the late 1800's or early 1900's. They had a son called Buck Morin (full name: Joseph Alexander Emmert Morin) who grew up in Chapleau Quebec. I am kind of stuck since I don't know where or when Scholastique & Jean Baptiste were married. Thanks for any help you can offer.
Danielle

I am searching for information on the above couple. I am assuming they were in the Prescott/Russell County, Ontario area about 1878, and may have married in the same area prior to 1878. They had a daughter (my g-g grandmother) Anna Lafleur (perhaps also known as Marie-Jeanne Lacombe dit Lafleur). She married Louis Xavier Desforges Feb 21, 1892 in Bourget, Ontario. I believe she was born Mar 14 1878 in Clarence Creek, Ontario.

All that I have of Anna's (aka Marie-Jeanne) parents are the names of Johnny Lafleur and Liza Bissonnette (unsure of correct spelling)...

Any help in finding information on this couple would be greatly appreciated... I unfortunately do not own records for this area.

Thank you,
Denise DeForge

Peter Lafleur of Manitowoc County, Wisconsin

I'm trying to find out some information on Peter Lafleur (also Laflower, Laflore, Laflour, and Lefleuer, in census records...) who came from Canada (born in Montreal in 1828, according to his 1905 obituary) to Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, where he married Matilda Pelong, in 1850. One of their sons, Joseph J. Laflower, was my uncle's grandfather. I've found him in census records for 1850, 1870, and 1880, but can't seem to find him in 1860. Does anyone know where he might be found? Does anyone have any information on this Lafleur line? Thanks!

Sinai married Georgianna St. Ours in 1911. I also know that they got a divorce a few years later. This is pretty much all the info I have. I've been hitting a lot of dead ends. I do know that Sinai moved from Ontario to the Detroit, Michigan area, but I don't know if he was born there or not, since my entire family tree has bounced from NWT to Quebec and then back to France. It's very confusing. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

She was born somewhere in Michigan and moved to Iowa with my grandfather Wm. James Fitzmaurice. She had one son and died shortly after child birth in 1923 in Ottumwa.

Her father was John or Jean LaFleur. He was born in Canada, possibly Quebec.

Unfortunately this is all I have. I hope this helps.

My great-great-grandmother's name was Marie Rose LaFleur. I am trying to find out any information I can about her. She was from the Pacific Northwest Territory. My grandfather's name was Orin Hillary Sager, his parents were Charles Sager & Anna Foulds, Anna's parents were Thomas Foulds and Marie Rose LaFleur; and that is where we get stuck. There is no other info on her, so we can't trace her parentage, any help will be greatly appreciated. Are we all cousins? I read somewhere that LaFleur was such a common name because it was a way for people who either did not have a last name (native American/Canadians) or people who were trying to run from the revolution, could still show their loyalty to the crown, naming themself after the fleur de lee. I don't know what the truth is on that, have you heard anything. PVC

I am looking for quite a bit of information. First, I'm looking for information on George LaFlore. The only record my mother has of her birth says she was ambulance born to George LaFlore. She has been told that he killed himself with in a year after she was born.

Secondly, in 1950 my mother was in a convent for a short time because the state had no where to put her. I encouraged her to send for her records. The only thing they sent was a Social Security card with the name Tonnia LaFleur on it. The nuns at the convent swear that this is her card.

Third, I'm looking for information on a couple named Ray Virginia Lefleur. Last known to be from Timmons, Ont., Canada. My mother has also been told that it is possible that these people were her parents.
We have been told that Virginia was of Indian descent and her Indian name was Snowbird. Yet, we don't know what tribe so I can't search that way either.

I'm just a daughter trying to help her mother find out the truth as to who she really is and about her heritage. My mother has been researching this for 40 years until I took over. My mothers health is ailing and I would like to give her this information before she passes on. If you perfer to reply privately, send replies to bah@tco.net. Thank you.
Barbara
