Lafountain/Breau connections?

Hello to the LaFountain Family. I am searching for any connection between the Lafountain family and the Breau family in the Keeseville area of New York in the mid 1850's on. My grandfather on my mother's side was a Breau, perhaps Brion ( and that is another story there) who can be traced back to Keeseville in that time frame. If anyone has any info that even remotely looks as though it may have a connection to the above mentioned surnames i would love to hear from you and of course would be willing to share information.

Thank you, Joe Musial

Need Help with Leo LaFountain in 1910 Census

Leo LaFountain was born in Michigan on January 26, 1888 and died on October 27, 1964. He married Blanche Welch (November 1, 1891 in Ohio - September 19, 1932 in Ohio) on August 13, 1908 in River Rouge, Wayne County, Michigan and they had 2 children: Oma Theresa on April 9, 1909 in Michigan and Doris M on September 19, 1910 in Ohio.

Leo is in Wayne County, Michigan for the 1900, 1920 and 1930 Census. I have been able to find him in the 1910 to prove one way or another who is wife was at the time. I believe he was still married to Blanche in 1910 and not yet married to Mary Ellen. I have searched in Lucas and Ottawa Counties in Ohio and have global searched Michigan with no luck.

Could someone help with the 1910 Census for my great-uncle, Leo.

The Pitre, Peete, Pete, Peterson families

I answered a post by you in 2002. I am an ancestor of the Pitre's. My father was William Peterson (Pete), born in Ludlow, Mass in 1900, his father was William Pete born in Mooers, NY in 1880, he married in 1899 to Flora LaFond. They moved to Mass in the early 1900's and went back and forth from Mass to NY. Finally they settled in Granby, Ct on a farm. William Sr had several children, William in 1900, Lillian in 1903, Maude in 1905 and later Henry, Fred and Russell finally in 1926. William Jr, married my mother in 1934, his previous wife was Isabelle Seymour from Vermont, he married her in 1920 and had 11 children with him. My mother, Vera is still living and is 97, and she had three children by William(he changed his surname in 1934 from Peterson to Donovan. The early families were Pitre's and later changed their names to Peat, Pete, Peete and other variations. Let me know if any of this data rings a bell. I have tons of data on the families to 1615.
My e-mail is: johnldonovan1@aol.com.
She moved from Canada to Vermont born in 1843 - Westford . I can't find out her parents names or where in Canada she was from. Both her parents were american Indians but our family didn't find out until an elderly relative died. They tried to hide that sort of thing unfortunately - I would love to find out from which tribe she came from and her native name. I've always felt a connection to nature and animals - it would mean a lot to find out something since everything was kept secret and no one knew what they were missing by not learning another culture.

He went to Baraga, Michigan where he married Jennie Madosh "Native American from the Ojibwa tribe. They had 5 children: Elizabeth, Leona, David, George and Belia or Delia. After her death in 1913, he married Susie Johnson and moved to Wisconsin. Although he used Fountain, his children and grandchildren used LaFountain.

Arthur and Cunela are listed in the Lapeer Co, MI census as having been born in NY and MA, some confusion at different times of the census I suppose. They may have given the correct one and then later someone else gave a different one. Anyway believe it to be NY DOB about 1795 have no idea where, but would like to know if anyone out there has an Arthur from this time period as a sibling of an ancestor. There are two known sons probably more children though, Edward b. 16 Mar 1822 and William H. b. Feb 1831. Edward married Nancy JOHNSON in NY and William married Mary Jane UNKNOWN. Would also like info on Nancy and Mary Jane.
ROSE LAFONTAINE-M-PHILANDER HOWARD

I am looking for information on a Rose Lafontaine, She married a man by the last name of Howard but the first name i was given may be philander ( possiblly for phillip or frank) I have no date of birth or much of anything else, except they had a daughter by the name of Muriel Howard born 7/29/1911 in Canada (possibly Quebec) Muriel was baptised at St. Edwards church in Montreal (probably misspelled) on 7/26/1926. We have an old baptism certificate hard to make out alot, but it does state mothers name as Rose Lafontaine and gives an address that we can only partially make out. The address was 205 Wellington (missing information) then says Providence of Quebec. There is a docket number on the certificate as well so i am assuming this is correct information. I know that Muriel came to the US sometime after and then married a man by the name of Alfred Mueller, i do not know the wedding date as of yet. Muriel and alfred are my ggrandparents and rose would be my gggrandmother. I know when they came to the US from Canada, they opened a boarding house along the docks in NJ. (possibly around Jersey City) Does this information sound familiar to you? you can email me at REDNCKINTRAINING@AOL.COM If you like.
