I've recently started researching my Grandfather on my Mothers side after doing some extensive research on my fathers family already.

My grandfather was a William LaFrance born July 22, 1911 or 1912. He is quite a mystery. Apparently he was born around a Marimack County, possibly near Pembrooke Ontario. At some point he changed his last name to Lawrence and married my grandmother Elizabeth Edith Moffatt (b December 13, 1916). I know he had another family prior to my grandmother with many kids under the name LaFrance.

Does anyone have any information regarding him or and possible suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can be reached here or directly at crbenn@hotmail.com
