Hello:

I am looking for information on my 2 ggrandfather "John LaFrance/France" born Jan 24, 1844 in Ottawa (Glengarry), Ontario, Canada married Rose ? (would love to find out her last name!!!!) born abt. 1856 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

John (Hardware Merchant in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) married Rose ? circa 1870s and to my knowledge had three children (possibly more):

Emma/Emily May Josephine (my ggrandmother) b. 24 Apr 1876 in Weston, Ontario, Canada, died 1917 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada;

Louis/Lewis born abt. 1877 possibly Ontario, Canada; and

Harry/Henry born abt. 1886 possibly Ontario, Canada.

I believe John then married after Rose passed away in 1892 to a Margaret Louise Burke and resided in Michigan, USA where he passed away in 1902 (Saginaw, Michigan, USA). I believe John immigrated to the Michigan area in 1897.

John and Margaret had two children:

Florence Louise b. 28 Nov 1894 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada; and

William John b. 8 Nov 1896 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, died 13 Dec 1956 in Des Moines, Iowa, USA

I know that John's parents where both from Quebec, Canada per 1891 Census and Rose's parents were both from Ontario.

Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated....PLEASE HELP!!!
