LAHR, Herbert J., 80, of Zephyrhills, passed away Monday, February 14, 2005, in Zephyrhills. He is survived by his companion, Doris Chenkin of Zephyrhills; two sons, Dennis Lahr and wife, Norma, of Wilkes Barre, Pa., and Allan Lahr of Zephyrhills; and seven grandchildren, all of Pennsylvania. Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2005, at Florida National Cemetery with Chaplain Chuck Trasher officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Zephyrhills VFW Post #8154. Mr. Lahr was born April 3, 1924, in Wilkes Barre, Pa. He was a veteran of the Army serving in World War II, a member of the VFW Post #8154 and the National Order of the Eagles. He was a branch manager in the automobile industry and a Protestant. A memorial service will be held 5 p.m. Sunday, February 27, 2005, at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie #3752, State Road 54 West, in Zephyrhills.
