I am writing a book on the history of Canadian cricket and am trying to find out more details for John Melville LAING who was born on 15 March 1873 and died 25 October 1947. He was described by the 1949 Wisden as "probably the best all-round cricketer who ever played for Canada".
I am trying to find some background information regarding this man and I understand that he is mentioned in "The LAING Family Genealogy of 1939", written by George Stanley LAING. Does anyone have a copy of this book?
