Hi! My name is Linnea and my mother is a Laird. She's 82 and I'm trying to compile her family tree. I've gotten as far back as Nathaniel Laird I. I know he was born in Northern Ireland in 1730 and came to Rowan, NC. He died in 1769 and, on his death bed, requested that his wife and children come to NC -- which they did.

If anyone has information on this elusive Laird (like where he was born or who his parents were), I would be eternally grateful!!!
