James Lakie married Martha Todd 1878 Whitby. Where did he come from? He was a mariner. The family became Leek and then fixed at Leck 1800. They stayed in Whitby for 100 years involved in ships carpentry and Whitby jet manufacturing. Other names:- Simon and Isobel Elder. Peter Elder Leck. Isobel Leck born 1790 Whitby. Jane Leek born Whitby 1799. James 1813, Jane 1820.
