I have finally found a connection. I am the grandaughter of Samuel & Mary Delisle-LaLonde.I know that Samuel & Mary had 15 children. My father was Joseph Samuel LaLonde and he kept a record of all his siblings.I know he had a sister Agnes however This is confusing as the Dates that I have for Agnes shows she died at birth.

Thanks for the info. I have all of that info as Joseph Samuel LaLonde was my father. He kept all names & dates of his parents & siblings in his black book but had nothing on his fathers parents.I keep coming up with 2 different names for his grandfather.

I am not sure how accurate this information is because I am not related to the family but here is a link to the site.

My advice would be to attempt to contact these people in order to see if they have any more information but the post was made in 2002 so you may not be able to contact them. If that is the case try operating on the assumption that they are correct and try researching Baptiste Lalonde and Elizabeth Archambeau to see if they had a child named Samuel and if the birth information is correct.

Her first husband was French Canadian (unknown first name) Lalonde with whom she had son "Willie" Lalond (b 1867). Second husband was James Black (b ca 1833) believe he was Eng. Canadian. Caroline and James moved to Michigan, had children Agnes (b1879) and Margaret May (b 1881). James died (ca 1882), she married Liseam Pudvay (b 1845) and had sons Liseam (b 1883) and Joseph (b 1885). I'm the great, great grandson of a William La Londe (same spelling) born in the 1830's who lived in the Fond du Lac, WI area and fought in the civil war. In addition to my great grandmother (Rose Margaret La Londe), he may have had son, my grandmother's "uncle Bill" who would have been born in the 1850s. I suspect William La Londe may be the son or grandson of the last Guilliaume Lalonde (1782-?) listed on the Lalonde web site, given an unbroken string of Guilliaume (William) Lalondes going back to Jean de Lalonde's second surviving son, and a great aunt named Marguerite-they tended to reuse names. I'm not sure we have a connection, but it's the same neck of the north woods and the same somewhat unusual spelling.

I'm looking for information on the mariage of Olivier Calixte Pockett/Paquette/Paquet/Boucher/Bushey who maried Alice Lalonde/Lalande/Leland.

They had the following children:

Hariett, Alice, Joseph, Virginie, Francis Xavier, Joseph Alfred, George, Alphonse Isidore, Mary Delphine, Anna Malvina, Adeline Victoria and Florence Louisa.

According to the 1881 Canada Census they were living in Renfrew, Ontario under Pockett as the last name. According the the 1891 Canada Census they were living in Pembroke, Ontario under Paquette as the last name. It was while they were in Pembroke they started to use Boucher as the last name.

Alice Lalonde/Lalande/Leland also married Edward McGee.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

in Cornwall, .. there are some Dupuis, .. and they are no doubt somehow connected to the Metis as beinbg Voyageurs i bet, ..

I would try looking for Dupuis in or around the north-west part of Montreal, .. like Ste-Anne de Bellevue, or Ile-Perrot, or Lachine maybe >??

will keep my eyes open for Dupuis too, ..

still trying to connect Albelanie Lalonde (born 1850) to his parents, as well as his wife Laura Pigeon (born 1853).

they are both in Cornwall Nativity cemetery, .. both i have yet to find a marriage record.

I was told they were once called Massia before Lalonde.

I am helping a senior uncle, Lucien Lalonde, in helping find his roots.

His mom was Laura Pigeon, and his father Telesphore Lalonde.

Laura's parents were George Pigeon & Rose Durocher.

Georges' parents were Jean-Batiste Pigeon and Emilie Veronneau dit Denis.

it is the Veronneau side i am researching as well,

wonder where they are from in europe>? in france, .. but where>?

Massia and Lalonde are connected by way of Metis, ..

It all started with Jacques-Rene Tsihene , Iroquois nation, south western Quebec, and Anne Moufflet,

the had a child, Paul Mathias (Massia), born in Iroquois country,

as time went, Massias/ Lalonde were predominantly around north-west of Montreal ( Ste-Anne de bellevue, Ile -Perrot, Lachine,

many would end up dropping the name Massia, and took up Lalonde.

Massia/ Lalonde is even connected with Maine.

I am still researching all this recent discovery myself,

telesphore lalonde would be my uncles' father, if we speak of the same fellow,

i am doing researchg for my uncle at the moment, and his name is Lucien Lalonde,

Luciens' parents would be Telesphore Lalonde and Laura Pigeon.

I have no other information as i continue to search for both Telesphore and lauras' roots.

When I was a child (I'm 73 now) I heard my parents mention the name Dupuie (Sp) I somehow have the idea that there is a connection to my LaLonde line however I can't find anything. I found a Ted Dupie website but couldn't get any info. Do you have any info that might help ?

Amanda Lalonde b-1898 in Calumet, Mi. or Fitchburg, Ma. Her parents were Stanislas Lalonde and Henriette Beauchamp, Archambault, Lalonde. All of a sudden her family left Calumet, Mi. I do have old family pictures of Albert, Amanda Lalonde with family of William Meunier Stanislas and Henriette and Victoria and Albina Archambault abt.1918 in Fitchburg, Ma. If this the right person, you might try the Church records for the town where the husband is said to have been born, the Catholic church in St Sainte-Marthe-de-Vaudreuil, Qué. There are many Lalondes in this area and the church and graveyard are very lovely.

I don't know if this might help, but I have a prayer/holy card for a Rosa S. Amyotte, born March 15, 1885, died October 6, 1964, buried October 10, 1964, age 79 years 6 months 21 days. The funeral home was Stapish Funeral Home (I'm assuming that's the same one as here in Bay City, Michigan). Like I said...not sure if that might help, but I really don't know why I (actually, my foster mother) had the card. My surname is LaLonde, my foster mother's maiden name was Badour.

Thank you, Mrs. Lalonde. I am aware of the information contained in this post, as I have researched this area and arrived at the same results. These have been published on the same site in fact. The problem with Jeanne's genealogical information seems to be that, having moved around a lot, in a time when the collection of genealogical information rather favoured those who were sedentary, she appears and disappears without being able to know where she has been in the interim. She was born somewhere in Canada — somewhere along the Saint-Lawrence Seaway, I would guess —, but married in Ogdensburg, NY. Her parents remain unknown as the marriage registers do not identify them. They do not seem to have inhabited this area, since no trace of them have been uncovered. Only a discovery of her birth record could help ascertain who these were. Then she reappears in Les Cèdres, Qué. (Saint-Joseph-de-Soulanges) in the 1881 census, and in the parish registers there around that time. But after a lengthy search, I have not been able to identify, in the documents available, a single, female individual, born in July 1854, who could perhaps be identified with Jeanne. If wou would have any further information concerning this ancestor, then I would certainly be most interested and greatful were you to share it with this correspondant. Thank you in advance.

I am searching for information on Edward Perrault and his son Ed. Jr. Both were born in Canada (French). Neither could read or write english and neither was employed. Edward Sr. Nationalized and Edward Jr. was alien. This puts Edward Sr. at 54 and Jr. at 34.

Edward Perrault Sr.(my ggg Grandfather) had three children; Wilhelmine Perrault(my gg Grandmother), Edward Perrault Jr., and Leda Perrault. Wilhelmine married an unknown "Cote". They had a daughter Leda b. 1904 (USA).

Wilhelmine later married Alfred Joseph Vallee b. 18 Jan 1881 (Canada). His Parents were Octave Elie Vallee and Marie Julie Lalonde. These are all members of Rudy Vallee's family. My grandmother is Rhenda Leda Vallee b. 25 Nov. 1910 (NH, USA), d. 26 Jun 1965 (ME, USA). Rhenda is the daughter of Wilhelmine and Alfred Joseph Vallee.

My grandmother was Rudy Valle's (Hubert Prior Vallee) third cousin.

Any information on Edward Perrault and or Marie Julie Lalonde would be appreciated.

I am convinced that Joseph Sterk--born Josip in Paka--one kilometer from Stari Trg--Mar 7, 1868 and whose death was reported to have occurred in Calumet, Mich in Dec 1897 by his brother, Peter Sterk-is my great uncle. His father's name was Marko Sterk and his mother eas Marjela --Marguerete. Slovenian continue to use the first names through the generations.

Josip (joseph) had two other brothers--one named Janez who died at 23 in Baraga, Mich and Marko Sterk of whom I have no other information than his birth date 1859.

So it appears that Marcus (Marko) was born just before his father joseph's death (1897)and that he apparently knew the name of his grandmother who by the way lived until 1910.

My great grandfather Peter returned to Stari Trg in 1911 for a long visit after his mother's death and apparently provided a lot of information as to his family in Amerika at that time.
