I don't know if you ever look at this site anymore but my dad's name is Joe, we live in Georgia, been here since 1970.

hello, my name is stephanie i am 14 years old and came across a search for any LaMacchia relitives. my fathers name is guy laMacchia and it is really nice to meet possible family members. i love to meet new people and learn about our family. my grandmother was the most spiritual person i know. has anyone ever heard of jennette b. LaMacchia? that's her she died in 2007 and i really wish i had gottin to know her as other people did. so if any of you possible relitive know anything could you fill me in?

Hi,
I think I can help you. Your Dad was my Father's first cousin. Our grandfathers were brothers. Your grandfather was my Great Uncle John (Giovanni) and the relatives in NC you spoke of are your Dad's sisters. There names are Rosalie (deceased) and Mary. I don't know Mary's married name but probably could find out. I also don't know if Mary is still alive but Rosalie died some time back.
My dad's name was Carmelo also. They were both named after their Grandfather Carmelo. Do you know what year your father died? If I remember correctly it was late 70's early 80's. He died shortly before mine, who passed in 1985. He also was married to his wife Katie who passed long ago and had two son's from this marraige. Unfortunately they too have passed There names were John James and
Michael. I also live in the Buffalo area. I hope this helps and if you have any questions let me know and I'll try to help.

This is Cathie, and I am James' Cousin. You replied to our cousin Joey, whom I am also trying to get in touch with. Please have James and/or Jennifer email me. I've tried finding them several times, but couldn't locate them. I live in NJ, and I am Uncle Jim's sister Ann's daughter. He also had a sister Mary, who passed away 2 years ago. Ann, my mother passed away a year before Uncle Jim did. Please Please get in touch with me. I would love to talk to them again. It's been a long time. I think the last time I spoke to Jennifer, she was 16 or so. I know your husband James' birthday is January 20th. He's right inbetween Aunt Mary's who's birthday was January 19th, and mine which is the 21st. Uncle Joe is still in Georgia. I heard he was just up here in June of 2007, but I didn't see him. He was visiting Aunt Mary's children. Anyway, it's very nice to meet you. Please get in touch at your earliest convenience. I lost touch with them shortly before their Mom Sharon passed away, and was unable to located them since. :) I'm glad I have now, and hope you get in touch with me.

I found a record for Anna Maria Viggiano Lamacchio, widow, age 71, arriving in Boston in 1903 to visit her son Antonio Lamacchio at 192 North Street, Boston. Anna was from Viggiano, Italy. I know it's a long shot, but could this be a relative?

Hi, my husband's name is James Lamacchio III. His father and grandfather were from N.J. His father was put up for adoption because his mother died. If this sounds like your dad's story email us back. Also, my husband says that he knows that his father's brother's name was Joe.

Thank you for your response. I did find this after I posted, but I'm still trying to find out more about the Lamacchia family. I do believe that this is the sister I'm looking for, but I know very little about the family, where they came in, etc. Are you related? My maiden name is Montgomery, but I don't see any connections between us.

Looking for info on Thomas Lamacchia or his brother Salvatore or his sisters. They are from Viggiano, Italy. I believe Thomas came here as a child, lived in New Orleans and ended up in Natchez, Ms where he married twice and is buried.

I am from Argentina (living now in BC, Canada). My great grandmother was Concheta LaMacchia. She was married to Giovanni Valenza. I understand that they were from Sicily (Palermo ?). My Grandfather Antonio was born in Tunizia, Prov. of Pantelleria. Could Concheta be the sister of your g.grandmother ?

My grandfather is Daniel Frank LaMacchia, unfortunatley don't know his mother or fathers name, he didn't talk about them. I know that my Greatgrandmother was Indian. He lives in Michigan, his wife's name is Lou (Ward). I love to find out more about my background, but unfortunatley don't have alot to go on. My grandfather has a brother named Chuck, sister Violet and Patricia living. All I know about my Greatgrandparents is there is a picture of them in the house. Any please help.

I have new information. John (Giovanni LaMacchia b 1910 married Rose (?) need last name. Rose had children from prior marriage.
My Greatgrandfather,Salvatore LaMacchia 1875 had remarried and had 2 girls. One is Santina LaMacchia and still resides in Sicily. Our cousin visited her last year! Santina's sister Name(?) married and moved to Argentina. Hope this can help some people with their lines. Good Luck. Lorraine :)

My Grandmother was a LaMacchia Here is our branch.*Giovanni LaMacchia married Dominica Amoroso, son *Salvatore LaMacchia married Antonina Privitera had 3 children: *Dominica LaMacchia b~1900 (known as Mamie) my grandmother, who married Stefano Arena children: Anthony and Salvatore Arena. * Anna LaMacchia married Thomas Fama 1 daughter Jacquiline Fama, and *John LaMacchia.
