I am searching for information on the Barney Lamar family of Richmond County,Georgia. One of his sons, Mirabeau Bolivar Lamar was my great grandfather. I believe that Barney Lamar was a child of Mack Lamar of SC and was descended from the Thomas Lamar line. My Grandmother, Laura Lucile Lamar Burch always stated that she had been born in Orangeburg, SC in 1889. Her father, Mirabeau Bolivar Lamar was born 31 Jan 1846 and died 08 Jun 1922 in Laurens County, GA. He married Maude Fannie Guedron. He is buried in the New Hope Cemetery in Laurens County. There is a CSA marker that states that he was in CO B, 10th GA REG. I have photos of marker. Any info on his family would be appreciated.
