Monet dit Lamarche family...

Hello, I'm from Montreal, Quebec, Canada and although I do have quite a bit of information, I would still like to update my Family Tree as acurately as possible. I am missing a bit of information in regards to my great grand parents and my grandfathers stay in the United States. I don't have access to any cencus files so I thought I could maybe get a bit of information from someone on here.

I am trying to find a little bit of information on how long my great grand parents and my grandfather Donatien Lamarche born in 1898 in Holyoke Mass stayed in the US. My great grandfather's name is Maxime Lamarche and my great grandmother Lucie Beaudoin. Not sure if Maxime and Lucie's two daughters Lucia and Marie Rosa Yvonne Lamarche were born in the US also. If anyone can tell me how long my great grandparents stayed and what my great grandfather occupation was in the States... I would greatly appreciate.

Thanks for all your help

Patricia Lamarche

Hi Thomas
Thank you very much for all this info. I had some of it but now I was able to make the connection. I am not related to this Lamarche family but I neede this info to know it. I have been doing research on all the Lamarche for close to 20 years and have several thousands Lamarche on file. It is my retirement hobby. A few years ago I published 3 books on the Lamarche marriages but I don't intend to do so anymore. I am satisfied with helping people finding their ancestors. I helped Jame the son find his father.
If you have the information and are willing to share it, I would like to know if the children of Charles Arnold are married and if the have children. If you prefer you can contact me at: guy.lamarche@sympatico.ca
Thank you again. Guy

Julia's maiden name is Murphy. I have nothing more about her yet. The LaMarche's I know better. Many of them are buried at Calvary Cemetery, Woodsidw,NY. Are you James' son? A lot of this information, but not all of it, comes from a copy of the family bible. I don't know who has the original.

1 Charles A.
Ever since I became aware of Samuel Lamarsh’s origin and his coming to Canada, I have been looking for confirmation of his origin.
So far I have found out that very few people arrived from France to Quebec after the conquest of 1763.
Marcel Fournier, a reputed history researcher, could only find one Lamarche arriving between 1765 and 1865. His book is entitled “Les Français au Québec - 1765-1865 - Un mouvement migratoire méconnu”.

Patricia Bays, I don't have his name on any of my files but he could be related, we have two of my grandfather's brothers that moved to the USA back in the late 1880. I have traced and met a third cousins this last summer past. Her grabdfather was my grandfather's oldest brother. Really enjoyed our visit with her and her husband.
If you want more info about my side of our family sent me and e-mail.
