Seek info about birthplace & parents of Edward Lambrecht (later LAMBERT), b about Sept 1830 in West Prussia, and his wife Ulriche Becher (Baker?) b abt Nov 1837, also in west Prussia. They sailed from Bremen to NY, with two children (Gustav Herman and Mary Ida), arriving 7/1/1863, and settled in the Saginaw/Bay City Michigan area.

Edward had a brother Julius Lambrecht, b abt 1836, who also came from Prussia to settle in the Saginaw/Bay City area. Julius had a wife Augusta but I don't know when he arrived in the US.

Family legend says that Edward and Julius had two half-brothers who also came to the US. These may be John A. Lambrecht (b abt 1846) & Carl Theodore Lambrecht (b abt. 1843), who were also in Portsmouth township, Bay Co., MI near Edward & Julius in the 1870 census. Family legend also says Edward was born in Berlin, and Ulriche was b in Dresden, but I have found no records of them there.

Edward's occupation on passenger list was shoemaker. John & Carl also claimed to be shoemakers in 1870 census. Could be their father and they were in the shoemaker's guild in Prussia??

Edward and Carl later took the name LAMBERT. Julius and John and their families kept name Lambrecht.

I would also like to make contact with living descendants of John A. Lambrecht or of Carl Theodore Lambrecht/Lambert.

Also would like to make contact with descendants of Martha LAMBERT (married Isaac Krohn), of Rudolph "Rufus" LAMBERT (married Sophia Salathe), and of Louis LAMBERT (married Bernice ???). Martha, Rufus, and Louis all were children of Edward.
