Loudoun Lambies (also Galston)

Help! I'm new to family research and have reached a big brickwall with my Lambies in Loudoun.
My ancestor is John Lambie and I know for sure he married Isobell Campbell in Loudoun on 4.12.1778. I'm guessing he is the John Lambie who was born in Loudoun on 27.6.1748 - but - how do you tell for sure? His father may have been a George Lambie but there were 3 different Georges married in Loudoun between 1712 and 1739 and the OPR list only the father George, no mother. Of course, he may have been married in Galston (no Georges were born in Loudoun at right time)- another 3 George marriages in Galston in same period. Can anyone help?

My name is Sarah Gregory, and I am ashamed to say that I really don't know anything about my Lambie relations. I have been concentrating too hard on finding the Gregorys. Kaye Lambie is my grandmother, she was married to Jules Asselin, and maybe a couple other people, but returned to her maiden name. Kaye gave birth to Stephen Asselin when she was 16 and that was 42 years ago so she would be approximately 58 now. She lives in Midland, Ontario, Canada. Her sister Verna lives in California. I am not sure how many times Verna has been married, and I don't know if her last name is Lambie right now or not. I also don't know her age. I don't know anything about their parents or other siblings either. But I do know that their branch of the Lambie family comes from Scotland. If anyone has any information that could help me research my ancesters could you please respond? Thank you.

I am looking for info on my grgrandmother Janet or Jenni Lambie Aitken wife of William Aitken. She was born in Scotland about 1871. He in October of 1867. Both near Whitburn. My grgrandmother's maiden name was Janet Lambie. She was born in Scotland and came to this country with her husband William Aitken in the early 1900's. They had several children with them on arrival and they had several more in this country. Their daughter Annie Shaw Aitken married William C. Campbell . These were my grandparents. My grandfather's sister Clara is married to a John R. Lammay (Lambie) and is in Millvale Twp, Allegheny Co., PA in the 1920 census. Living with them is Sarah Hunter Clara's neice, who's mother was Catherine Bell Hunter. She was Clara's sister and another sister to my grandfather. I am looking for information on Sarah Hunter. In 1920 she is 21. I cannot find her in the 1930 census, as she is probably married.

I am trying to trace the family of my grandmother, Annie Mair nee Lambie. Born Feb 1872 to Alexander Lambie (Carpet Weaver), and Catherine nee Rae (but spelt Ray on birth Certificate) at Calidonia Street Paisley. I know she had a sister Mary, but Annie was brought up by the Logie family. Mrs Logie was also of the Rae Family ? sister of Catherine.
Hope someone can help to get me started. My Aunt, her daughter is 94 this year, and does not remember much about her family back in Scotland.

I am looking for a John Lambie who came to San Francisco from Scotland. He lived in San Francisco during the 1850's and met and married Joaquina Ponce de León there in the mid 1850's. They had at least 4 children: John Lambie, Teresita Lambie, Olinda Josephine Lambie b. January 20, 1856, and Mariana Lambie. All returned to Joaquina's home country, Panama, around 1875.

I am seeking any information on my grandfather Lambie - not necessarily that surname.He married - or not - my grandmother and my father was born in 1919 in Kent. My fathers name is frederick and I think this was also my grandfathers name. All I know is that he lived in Ayrshire, was a landowner, an artist and may have died in the war. This is sort of a shot in the dark....I am just beginning some family research. My grandfather was born Claude R. Colgate, but changed his name later to Howard. His family was split up in the early 1900's when his dad Joseph N.H. Colgate died. Since he was the baby, he stayed with his mother, Lucy, while his siblings went???? I have found a record of one of the sisters, Alice Maud or Maud Alice, married to James Lambie in 1914. My great grandmother was Jane Lambie, married John Napier, daughters Margaret & Jennie were born in Scotland, came to KC, KS around l870, to North Platte, NE where my grandmoter, Jessie Napier, was born, then back to Scotland around l873 or 74 where another daughter, Mary was born. Then back to the US to Cheyenne, Wy, where John Napier is suppose to have died. John Napier worked for the railroad. Any information would be greatly apprecited & I will share mine.
