This was sent to my Mother (Evelyne McCracken, daughter of Ida. C.) from a daughter of Cora, with a note

“I don’t know if you have seen this or not. I had Photostat copies made. .My mother (Cora) of the family was the only one born in Grand Island date of her birth was Nov. 27-1876”

It appears to have been copied from a newspaper, which would have been dated from 1888 when Amy married and before 1895 when Cora married. I copied it just as it was sent to my mother. Perhaps it will be of some interest to others in the Lamon family. Would enjoy contacts with others from the Lamon family if any are interested.Tenn. branch. David Lamon—Emanuel born 1876—Elbert b. 1832—Ida b—1875—Evelyne b. 1912---Joan Anglin, granddaughter of Cora Lamon McCracken.

From that time until the spring of 1880 Mr. Lamon rented land, but in the last named-year located on a farm he now occupies, which consists of 274 of fine land. He has just sold 200 acres, and now has a neat little farm of 74 acres, all under cultivation and well improved with Exxon buildings. He has a fine young bearing orchard of about 800 trees, also some cherry and plum trees. He has always been a Republican in his political views, and has served as a delegate to numerous County conventions.
