Archibald Lamont Isle of Bute Scotland late 1600's
Researching my family tree and have traced back to Archibald Lamont who married Margaret Stewart May 13 1712 Rothesay, Isle of Bute. Their children were Ann Lamont b 25/02/1713, John Lamont b 15/09/1714, Dugald Lamont b. 09/01/1717, Margaret Lamont b. 03/06/1718, Janet Lamont b. 22/09/1720, Duncan Lamont b. 03/1723 and Catherine Lamont born 28/12/1725 all in Rothesay, Isle of Bute. I am descended from their son John. Would be interested to know if anyone has the same relations and if anyone can tell me who the ancesters of the said Archibald Lamont were or might have been.
