George M. Lamoreux, 75, of Newberry Estate, Dallas, formerly of Pittsburgh, died Tuesday at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.

Born in Huntsville, Lehman Township, he was a son of the late George E. and Mary H. (Morgan) Lamoreux. He was a graduate of Lehman High School, Wyoming Seminary and Syracuse University. He was an insurance agent for Liberty Mutual, Pittsburgh, before retiring in 1970. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of Daddow Isaacs American Legion Post 672, Dallas, Wyoming Valley Civil War Roundtable.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Phoebe L. Derby.

Surviving are his brother, Elmer D., Dallas; nieces and one nephew.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family from the Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., 672 Memorial Highway, Dallas. The Dr. Rudolph Libeck, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in Idetown Cemetery, Lehman Township. There will be no calling hours.
